About this listen

Protect all monster girls.

I've devoted my entire life to safe-guarding exotic animals. When a group of poachers invade the Komplot Toestel big game preserve, I'll take a bullet to the chest in the line of duty.

For most people, that would mark the end. For me, it's only the beginning.

As I laid dying, a mysterious goddess appeared by my side. Her offer was simple: teleport to a new world where I would be a game warden of a different sort.

You see, there are no animals that need protecting in the land of Jadu. Instead, I've been tasked with protecting a tribe of lost monster girls. My job is simple.

Help the girls build and fortify their village. Check.

Help the girls develop their technology. Check.

Help the girls keep their population from going extinct. Check and check.

Being the only male in an all female society has its perks. But it's not all fun and games. With the warlike Rakhasa battering down our front door, I'll have to draw on every ounce of experience that I've accumulated in my long career fighting poachers.

It's a tough job, and I'm just the man for it.

Not everyone gets a second chance. I intend to make mine count.

I recommend this series

I tend to take it easy on the first book of any new series. I am familiar with some of this author’s pass works and this series is in line with what I've come to expect from him. If you're looking for light and fluffy with a hint of darkness, then you've come to the right place. Our hero appears to be some sort of South African game warden. Him and his partner come across a butchered elephant and track the poachers only to be ambushed. His partner dies almost immediately, and our hero gets away for a little bit kills his killer before dying himself. He's given two options by a lion goddess. Die or serve. Transported to a new world where's monster girls and demons he finds himself essentially the chief of the local tribe and determined to see them safe. The narration team did a fantastic job. I'm not familiar with the gentleman narrator but the lady narrator I have enjoyed her work aren't quite a number of occasions. She's never delivered less than an amazing performance. Well done to everybody who had a hand in bringing this story to us the audible listeners and I can't wait to see what comes next

Building harem town meets Steve Irwin, kinda

The book starts off well, but for me it felt rushed in the beginning. I prefer a slower start in a new series.
The story follow most common harem plotlines and clichés but still with its own twist and a solid story so it is worth getting.

The MC is decent and not an asshole, more alpha than beta.
Looking forward to book 2. :)

The big "minus" for me is the male narrator; Adam Stubbs. He is over acting the hell out of it. He has a very good voice don't get me wrong, I can tolerate him just fine, he just uses it wrong for the MC in my opinion.
Erin Bateman does her parts well, nothing to complain about.

Surprising hidden mystery and lore

Wasn’t sure what to expect with this one and the info given in the blurb but I enjoyed it. Both narrators are great at what they do and easy to understand. Honestly, if it wasn’t for Travis Baldree, Stubbs might have been my new favorite.

The background hidden secrets and mysteries that are hinted at leave wanting to learn more in the following books.

I like the MC quite a bit. His heart to defend and protect. It’s nice to not have just a “Chad!”

So I’m looking forward to the next book and recommend this series.
