About this listen

An action-packed LitRPG Apocalypse perfect for fans of The Primal Hunter, Road to Mastery, and The Ten Realms.

In a world of countless enemies, Freddy's unique power will help him thrive.

Freddy Stern, a twenty-one-year-old cashier, has lived a plain, albeit harsh life. Having been orphaned—twice—he's spent the last ten years working and staying out of trouble. His only aspiration is to save enough money to become an archhuman.

His dream gets the jump on him when he barely survives a near-death encounter and finds himself in possession of 1% Lifesteal, a bizarre talent with numerous contradictions and just as many uses.

With every dead enemy, he becomes a bit stronger, a little wiser, and a lot more ruthless. And no matter how much damage he takes, he can always put himself back together. Physically, at least.

But on his path to power, after having to look at the rotting guts of archhuman society again and again, can his talent keep his mind and soul as pristine as his body?

Or will that part of him simply remain broken...

Experience the start of this action-packed LitRPG Adventure from Robert Blaise set two hundred years after a reality-altering apocalypse. Featuring a weak-to-strong Brawler MC who never backs down, a unique power system, apocalyptic elements and more!

It all starts with a can of beans (a.k.a a can of whoop ***)

I expected a siphon remake, but I was completely off. A progression story with great storytelling and a good plot are always worth a credit.

Kept me hooked

Very good story and I am hoping for a sequel. But if its a one off its an amazing one off. Mind you its a bit dark at times at least with inner thoughts.

Fun different take on prog fantasy

I liked the story and character. I look forward to additional titles in the series. In terms of the performance, the narrator is talented, but I don’t love actual shouting in my ear.

Blood

The main character Freddy starts off as a stupid naive idiot but it is his character trait purposely put in by the author so that Freddy can grow into a more smart realistic person, I personally like growth in characters as it’s more satisfying then a all knowing MC the author puts him though the grinder of character development and it pans out into something Nice hopefully he doesn’t back slide in the next book but overall it was a fun thrilling story.

How perfect! So believe you/me you're gonna need to grab this one!

What a marvelous ending! Believe you/me 1% Lifesteal was perfect!!! And I can hardly wait for the next book in this FannnFriggenTastic series! This is the story of Freddy, Fred Stern an orphan who's led a harsh life, but managed to get himself a job, and an apartment. Unluckily on his way home after a long day, he stumbled across an opening a passage to another realm, with monsters pouring in and those monsters are trying to kill him! Surprisingly he accidently thwarts the closest attacker and actually kills the beast... So begins the process of goin from a mortal to an Archhuman. And gaining strength by collecting water wisps, elementals based on his water affinity.
So yeah grab the audiobook because you need to add this one to your library. And Daniel Wisniewski gives you a fantastic nuanced performance...

Here's a quote that amused me:

"The word headache wasn’t enough to fully encapsulate the headagony Freddy felt as he woke up."

Hard Knock Life

It's rare to see this much grittyness in the genre. The severity and actually struggle are a breath of fresh air since it will make the rise much more impactful. Will definitely get the next book.
