Publisher's summary

Montana Territory, 1887.

Luke McCutcheon and his twelve-year-old son set out to attend a family friend's wedding, hoping for some rest and relaxation. After arriving in the tiny mountain settlement of Priest's Crossing, Luke becomes the prime suspect of a horrific murder, and Francis, the loyal ranch hand from the heart of the mountains, rides to his rescue when he hears the news. Revealing the truth and standing up to a whole town isn't easy and could get the young cowboy killed, but Francis would do anything to clear the McCutcheon name.

As Francis sets out to expose the real killer, he butts heads with Ashley Adair, the town's pretty schoolteacher. Ashley thinks Francis is as bad as the man she believes to be a murderer, but soon she begins to see the true Francis, and Luke too. As much as she wants to trust Francis, others in town scheme with deadly intent to keep them apart. Will the truth be revealed before it's too late?

Montana Promise!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! This author writes such wonderful stories about the 1800's that are believable, the descriptions of the land, town, peoples and emotions make the story so enjoyable.

What other book might you compare Montana Promise to and why?

Debra Holland writes similar stories to these. The reader is able to visit a time before us and understand that people lived and loved much like us today.

Have you listened to any of Corey M. Snow’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This narrator does a wonderful job with these characters, giving each one their own distinct personality.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! Absolutely! I couldn't put this one down. I wanted Luke to be rescued but that would mean the story was over and I wanted it to last a long time.

Any additional comments?

Montana Promise is a great addition to this series. Being able to catch up with the previous characters and find out what is going on in the town is always a lovely way to spend the afternoon. This story started with a bang and didn't let up until the last page. The plot was really good, very strong and the balance between the H&H helped me to like them both right away. Also there are some very, very bad guys to add some nailbitting to the story. I absolutely love this author and can't wait for her next book!

My favorite so far

What a wonderful addition to the McCutcheon Series I love how the how the author reaches out taking you on a wonderful ride through her make believe town making it so easy to picture the scenes and the people. I feel like I know the characters they seem like family. I am always sorry to see the book end and can hardly wait to see what happens next. Her writing is captivating her scenes leave me breathless Ms Fyfee pulls on your emotions with her wonderful writing style of love, helping others, keeping you caught up with the danger of the wilderness and the people of Y Knot. She really had me guessing as to who did it and the outcome. At times I thought it would end bad losing a dear family member that I have come to love. I found this story to be so thrilling, exciting as I held my breath. Maybe it is because it has been awhile since I listened to the last one of this series but I have to say this is my favorite.

What I love about this whole series is the nice clean fun the author gives with Christian values that are not over powering. Each book is a standalone that brings past characters and event to play in a way you never feel lost. You can read just one or all, always knowing just what is going on touching on important parts leaving you with a smile and a few laughs along the way.

Mr. Snow as always his narration is outstanding with his wonderful voice and many different characters make the audio come alive. He has a strong emotional voice that you could listen to all day. I had no trouble knowing who is talking or what they were feeling. His male voices are just as wonderful as his females one. The variations in gender flowed was easy giving you a wonderful clean, clear and crisp audio listen. I found the voices to be very appropriate, the tones matched what he was reading. He put the chuckles, laughs and tempter in where they needed to be which added so much to the read. His tones were raised or lowered just right giving lots of emotion and meaning to the story. The plot flows easy and without interruption as Mr. Snow puts the correct voice to the correct character which gave life to this listen. I found the recording to be to be free of background noises with no change in volume it was smooth, if there was any editing done or breaks taken you cannot tell it. The total performance is outstanding. I can’t wait for the next book in this series to listen more of his work.

Ms. Fyfee gives such beautiful detail in her stories you have no trouble picturing the scenes in your mind as the story comes alive. Picking up and starting this story was like coming home to a long lost family you haven’t seen in a while being pulled into their embraces and love that you never want to leave them again. This was a big winner for me leaving me with a book I could not put down reading it all at one setting. I was captivated with all that is going on taking you from one event into another knowing at times this could be life or death. This is one author that does her research pulling in with true facts why hooking her reader with love, emotion and danger. I love the characters it was a delight watching them grow and learn. Watching these two fall in love with so much against them was hard when it didn’t look like they would make it. Watching one of my favorite characters get arrested for murder was heartbreaking. See how the town turned against this family well that just made me mad. The book is filled with day to day lives that ran out of control, really reminds us that we have very little control over others and how what they do will affect us. Ms Fyfee knows how to make your heart beat faster, and she can bring a tear to your eye.

No one writes a historical western like this author, she knows just where to pull you in, giving you characters and scenes that are so vivid you are hooked almost for the first page. This is a delightful standalone but with this series it is a 5 star plus. Pick this book up you will understand why she has always been one of my go to author for excitement, love, emotions, compaction, filled with family values.

Montana Promise: McCutcheon Family Series, Book 10

I have loved Luke McCutcheon since book one of this series. He is my absolute favorite McCutcheon! I could read an entire series about this character alone. He is marvelous!

I enjoyed every moment of this well written, Intrigue and really hope that Caroline writes more of this style in the future.

Although this book can be enjoyed on it's own, I highly recommend that readers also take the time to enjoy Montana Dawn & Moon Over Montana.

This book is exciting and heartfelt; I loved it!

If you could sum up Montana Promise in three words, what would they be?

Intense, intrigue, dedication...

What did you like best about this story?

The show of integrity and honesty among the ranch hands toward Luke. Our manly-man with a tender heart who is loved by all of Y-Knot and the McCutcheon’s, is this storyline. The writing is exceptional which makes the audible excellent.

Have you listened to any of Corey M. Snow’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have enjoyed Corey Snow's auditory before and is one reason I wanted to hear Montana Promise. He is excellent!

If you could rename Montana Promise, what would you call it?

Montana Promise and More

Any additional comments?

Luke has always been "my man" in the McCutcheon series but, the other fan I have is Francis. He was so young in the first books and I've loved how he has matured throughout the stories. He has become Luke's right-hand man. Now he has found love. It is a great read!

Francis, Luke, freedom and a great mystery!

Caroline Fyffe has done it again. She has created a story that is filled with danger, deception, deceit alongside of true love at its best and a sweet new love that I couldn't help but to devour. It was so good to see the McCutcheons pull together in the time of need of one of their own and to see Francis get his chance at happy ever after. I was kept on the edge of my seat throughout. I had such anxiety and worry for Luke. The mystery if who the murderer was kept me turning and turning wanting more. And scenes between Luke and Faith gave me chills. Their love and the anguish they were feeling were tangible. Just great storytelling and writing all around.

With Luke imprisoned for a murder he didn't commit by a man that hates him it is up to the men of the Heart of the Mountain to find the killer and free him. But danger lurks at every turn and they must be diligent in their searching. Someone is doing their best to stop them at every hand.

Francis takes it upon himself to lead the search, bringing him face to face with Ashley, the most beautiful girl he has ever seen. But she doesn't trust him. Or the men trying to free Luke. With her friend being the accuser it will take more than a handsome face and words of how fine a man Luke is to change her mind.

When things are found that point to another, Ashley and Francis must make haste. Danger is building and time is of the essence. But the sweet love budding between these two can't be stopped. And the more tine they spend together only shows them what could be. With the focus on Luke and his freedom will these two even have a chance?? Living in different towns can they make a life together or will circumstances keep them apart?
If you haven't read this series then it is a must read.
