Publisher's summary

One is spontaneous; the other is stable. One's flighty; the other's down-home. He's a single parent; she's determined to be single. What happens when these best friends become more than friends?

Brooke McClellan is the owner of the shop Best Dressed and knows how to do two things very well: design amazing dresses and stay far away from serious relationships. She definitely doesn't date anyone from Nestled Hollow, and especially not her best friend, Cole.

Whenever Cole Iverson isn't running his restaurant, Back Porch Grill, he's taking care of his nine-year-old daughter or tamping down the feelings he has for his best friend, Brooke. It's been three years since his wife died, and he's ready to get remarried, but he knows it could never happen with Brooke.

When Brooke offers to help Cole plan the birthday party of his daughter's dreams, Brooke starts to realize that she has feelings for him. But are they opposites in too many ways for this to work? Are they willing to risk their friendship to pursue something more?

Pick up this sweet best-friends romance today!

Come make yourself at home in Nestled Hollow, where community becomes family and the romances are sweet, swoony, and chock-full of chemistry. Each interconnected stand-alone novel has its own happily ever after.

I love how Brooke and Cole are friends. I love the way they help each other. I love how they come together and I love seeing others from Nestled Hollow that are in previous books. Meg Easton writes beautiful stories with depth. The Narration is wonderful.

Wonderful story

This is such a sweet story about two best friends finally figuring out that they can be more. I really enjoyed this story and listening while getting other things done is the best. I loved that Brooke and Cole found their happily ever after. This is a fantastic book to listen to and read.

A FUN sweet story of hope and fears.

“More Than Friends in the Middle of Main Street” by Meg Easton
I thoroughly enjoyed my time within this story. Special people in a special town learning to trust that sometimes change is a good thing. A fun listen that I expect would be a good read too.
Note: This review expresses my honest opinion. This story lives in my audible library.

Sweet and clean romance

This was a very sweet storyline. Two successful best friends leaning on each other for support but resisting love for all the wrong reasons. It was entertaining and clean. Two thumbs up

Cole & Brooke

Brooke was raised to never enter any equal relationships, business or personal. She must always be the one to make the decisions without compromise. Cole is focused on raising his daughter and running his own business. He wants a relationship with Brooke, but she does not want an exclusive relationship with anyone. Her business is her only focus. Cole wants a partner in life and in decisions.

I loved the sweetness mixed with playfulness!

This sweet, clean romance of two best friends becoming more was really good. I loved the friendship that Brooke and Cole had, but I loved the sweetness of them allowing themselves to become more to each other to an even greater extent. Cole has been fighting his feeling for her, because she has made it plain that she will never marry. He knows he must protect the heart of his nine year old daughter, so he tries to keep his distance. Things may change for at least one of them over time...

I listened to the audio version of this book and the narration by Liz Krane really helped the book come to life.

I was gifted a copy of this audiobook. All thoughts are my own.

Was she small town Brooke or big city Brooke?

This is such a great story and the narration was great. Brooke had been told business/relationship rules all her life that she had ingrained. One thing she forgot was while her parents were extremely successful at business but not so much relationships as they had gotten divorced when she was young. These ingrained rules were so much in her head it sabotaged many relationships even the one she valued the most Cole and his daughter Sam. Losing his wife Cole became very structured, almost rigid to survive his loss and raise his young daughter. He was threatened almost by Brooke’s very fluid life with her jetting in and out of their small town. He only knew small town Brooke and when he saw a glimpse of big city Brooke it blew him away. Her fashion designs were a much bigger deal than he ever imagined. I totally enjoyed this step back to Nestle Hollow and this clean romance.

a sweet book

this is a book I've read before, and it's the first time I've listened to it. The narrator is the same as all the other Meg Easton books I've listened to, and I like her style. the story is sweet and clean.
