About this listen

Captain Leland Stottlemayer is faced with budget cuts and trims Monk's services as an expense. Though he insists it's nothing personal, when Monk's offers to help for no charge are declined, he and Natalie suspect otherwise.

But Monk is too compulsive to stop investigating. So when Stottlemayer is arrested for the killing of another cop with overwhelming evidence against him, he must turn to the only detective who can prove his innocence.

Sometimes Its Too Good To Be True

Monk gets a great job. Then Monk just does his thing when the bad guy screws up, and he gets the bad guy. There is only one Monk. Good story. I hope there are more of these book to come. I miss Monk.

Enjoyable but hard to folllow

Enjoyable edition, but the multiple cases did not seem to flow well
together. I would think it would be better with multiple narrators as opposed to one that is trying to do voices for various characters.

will remind you of the original

The nice thing about this book is that it refers back to TV episodes. Monk is very OCD as he was early, but there is a little evidence of character growth. The story is narrarated by Natalie Teegar, and the person selected has a voice that is very reminiscent of Traylor Howard's. It's not great literature, but it is an enjoyable listen....

Great Listen!

All the Monk stories are fun and fairly lighthearted, making them an enjoyable listen. I listen to them while doing housework or artwork or yard work. Makes the task a lot more fun!

An Interesting Character

I’m a huge fan of the Monk tv series, and was very disappointed when the series ended. When I found these Monk audio books, I was thrilled. I finished the last of the 8 book series, wishing that there were more of them. Please please please continue with this Monk audio book series. I need more.

Comfy and relaxing mystery

It is difficult to find a good story and perfect narration in an audiobook. However, the Monk books fit the bill. Excellent narration provides a relaxing listening experience.
