interesting and educational

This audio provides a good overview of dementia behaviors,
and helps caregivers understand that the behaviors are not intentional, but rather a function of the disease.
This builds compassion, the cornerstone of effective caregiving, which is especially helpful for dementia patients whose behavior can often cause bad feelings and annoyance.
The audio is packed with information about the most common behaviors.
I recommend this audiobook.

Compassionate

As a caregiver, I have been overwhelmed, frustrated and uncertain about handling difficult behaviors. This book has helped me during this challenging journey. The author compassionately addresses the struggles and anxieties of being a dementia patient caregiver. It wrecks our solves to see our loved ones lose their ability to think and remember, leading to irrational and sometimes dangerous behavior. This book provides practical and proven methods to effectively manage and cope with these behaviors.

The author does a great job of explaining the causes and types of dementia and offers modifications that can be made to household habits to incorporate safety measures and enhance common spaces. The book is like having your own supportive community. The book is a source of comfort and guidance and will provide the confidence and tools to navigate the intense responsibilities of caregiving. The burnout of being a caretaker is real, so having this book to help you ease the burnout is wonderful.
