About this listen

A proud, tormented warrior....

Laird Taveon Kraig would do anything to recover a magical amulet powerful enough to break the curse that has plagued his clan for a hundred years - even marry a woman determined to hate him. But the beautiful - albeit boldly defiant - woman stirs his passion like no other. He never dreamed his quest would involve surrendering his heart.

A blind sculptress....

Having survived two ruthless marriages, Viviana Gorini Dè Medici has no desire to take another husband - especially one who wants her most prized possession: a magical amulet that provides her with the gift of sight. Despite her pleas, she is forced into the marriage and sent on a dangerous journey with a man whose charms melt her defenses, whose touch sets her on fire, and whose kiss stirs her body in a way she's never known.

A wicked enemy....

Surrendering completely to an ecstasy that binds their hearts, neither of them foresees the sinister threat waiting to destroy both of their worlds. In a family torn apart by a centuries old curse, will love be enough to save them all?

The story is good Narration bad.

What disappointed you about My Cursed Highlander?

This was a book you are better off reading. The pauses between chapters is overly long and the Narration is monotone and slow.

What did you like best about this story?

It flows between time countries and characters very smoothly.

Did The Killion Group do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

The author yes. The narration no.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It is a good book to read.

Hard to listen to

What would have made My Cursed Highlander better?

A better narrator and production. The narration is terrible lots of long pauses and you can hear her smaking her lips and swollowing...

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Very irritated and bored

Any additional comments?

I could not even bare to listen past chapter 3 and I'm so glad there is a return policy!!

PASS on more from The Killion Group!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

NO. Whats to recommend? There is too much wrong with the recording to get a good story.

What other book might you compare My Cursed Highlander to and why?

NO, I'm glade to say, not in my library

Would you be willing to try another one of The Killion Group’s performances?

NO

Was My Cursed Highlander worth the listening time?

NO

Any additional comments?

The narrator's voice and style makes you feel as if she is reading an erotic love story to a 3 year old child. VERY CREEPY during the explicit sexual content.
The story itself was really quite good, but not a smooth or easy read. It began with what seemed like 5 minutes of legal mumble-jumble, not the usual short, unobtrusive copyright here to’s and where as’s. This title should come with a warning: ‘May need an attorney to buy and own this book’.
I pushed through all 13+ hours but it was not easy. The Killion Group (publisher) may want to find an experienced editor/publisher; there were a few places the pauses were so long I checked to see if my iPod's battery had died.
Kimberly Killion should stick to the writing, (she is very good) and leave the publishing (she is not very good) to the pros. I will pass on this author/publisher/editor/narrator/lawyer/indian chief in the future.
I was told long ago to stay away from authors who narrate their own books, I should have done just that and add to it authors who publish their own work, too.
