Publisher's summary

I tried to kill him. Accidentally, of course. But wouldn’t you do the same if you found an enormous, intimidating Navy SEAL rummaging through your house? Jackson Hunter barged into my life like a freight train. Unrelenting. Unapproachable. Unafraid. He made me realize things I wasn’t ready to realize - that I was lonely, hurting, afraid. I fell in lust with him. Possibly even in love. The only problem? He was my fiancé’s brother.

Three months before the big day, Emily finds herself anxiously planning a wedding without the help of her increasingly erratic fiancé Matt. And then, Matt’s brother Jackson comes along, intruding into her life uninvited and showing her what she’s missing.

Emily desperately tries to keep her carefully planned future on track. But with her growing feelings for Jackson and Matt’s cold, distant behavior, her plans unravel by the second, and she begins to fall for Jackson. A harmless little crush never hurt anyone...right?

This full-length 86,000 word Navy SEAL and virgin romance is part one of a two-part book series. It is intended for mature audiences. This two-book series will put you through an emotional roller coaster.

Bad Narrator

just as that other review, the narrator sounds like a robot when doing a man's voice

Just read it instead, HORRIBLE narration!!

This one's getting returned, specifically because of the awful narration, especially for the male parts. This narrator made the men sound like angry 13 year old boys. It made no sense at all. I honestly felt like Jackson was being portrayed as autistic or brain damaged from his military service, and the words describing him as an attractive, large SEAL just didn't work. I gave up and just got the Kindle version to read instead. This needs to be recorded again with a narrator that can handle a male voice.

Emily Is Pathetic, Narration is Almost Irritating

Emily is a whiny, too subservient and acts like she is not very intelligent. I had a hard time trying to like her or sympathize with her problems. I agree with other commenters that the male voices and the female friend voices were robotic and almost screechy. I had a little trouble discerning Matt and Jackson voices a at couple points. Overall the story has promise and I would like to know how it ends but I am hesitant to spend money or a credit on the continuation book. Why not have a both a male and female narrator especially when there are 2 males involved? I suspect dual performances narration is expensive but why run the risk of having a disappointing product?

*SPOILERS* Mixed feeling

Narrator almost ruined me on this book! her "best friend " voice and "male" voices are not good! I almost couldn't finish it, she portrays Jackson as an emotionless robot. The story line is really good and it had promise. Maybe if we could have a guy do the Male parts and just let her do the female role it would be better.

Good

This is a good story but the male narration was horrible. (Female)
If you think your book is good why not go out of your way to present it the best you can to draw the audience.
I wish these authors would just pay to have a male do the actual male part.
Could have been 5 stars.
Thanks

Not sure how I feel

This is a generally good book but the heroine is portrayed as week and ignorant. I didn't like that the heroine is so ignorant to something as simple as to what a Navy Seal is. She is always running and hiding and not facing life at all. it took me a while to get into this book and I think I'm only reading the next one because I'm curious to know how it turns out.

Not bad

This story was good the narrator did well for the female parts but when it came to the male parts she was robotic and didn't have any feeling into the part. The story was average but I got annoyed with the female character she seemed stupid and naive and it just got annoying a times.

hard to listen to

The story line sounds like it could a good one, except the narrator is not good at non female parts. Both men to chapter 5 come across as monotone, angry and aggressive. Couldn't finish it because of it. Maybe I'll try actually reading the book instead ..
