Publisher's summary

Lucas must choose between commitment and honor in the thrilling ninth installment of the series. With the enemy force defeated and a safe haven for his new home, Lucas is convinced his life will finally return to some sort of normalcy with Sierra. But an unexpected trauma turns his world upside down, and he's faced with two impossible roads forward. With enemies closing in and danger around every bend in the trail, can he survive against an adversary who will stop at nothing to see him, and those he loves most, dead?

Good story

The narrator sucks very monotone. Other than that story is very good and very engaging.

Awful computer generated narration .

This sounds like an AI bot using audio clips of the readers voice. It is horrendous to listen to.

DO NOT BUY - AI AUDIO IS TERRIBLE

I am so disappointed in this attempt to grab money with a crappy AI audio. It is actually painful to listen to and detracts from any entertainment value. I was looking forward to the continuing story but this is just not worth it and Audible falsely advertising this as being narrated by Bill Lasseter is so sad.

Sad story

Hated the narrator. Sick of Sierra. Lucas has become a weenie. Wish that the author had a stronger story line and cannot understand the change in narrator.

Terrible narration

I have been a fan of this series throughout, until now. The narration in this recent release is abysmal. It sounds like a computer is reading it, and it is an insult to the previous audible books. The remaining three book are narrated by this obvious A.I., and I will no longer listen to it. Such a sad end to an otherwise excellent series. I hope they pull these and get the original narrator to finish the series as it should have been.

Who narrated this?

Very disappointed in the narration. Sounds like an AI generated voice with no feeling and emotions. Constant miss pronounced words and phrases. Almost painful to listen to.

Bill Lasseter is HORRIBLE

I was excited to start book 9 of this series however due to Bill Lasseter having no inflection in his voice, I could not get past Chapter 3. I only made it that far in hopes something would change. He reads like everything is a run on sentence and hardly takes a breath.

I had to give a one star rating but would have preferred not to.

Very disappointed.
