Publisher's summary

Terrorists have infiltrated the United States and attacked the electrical grid, pummeling the entire country into darkness and creating a crisis never before seen on American soil. This orchestrated act of terrorism has left Americans vulnerable in all essential areas of health, welfare, national security, communication, and commerce. This catastrophic chain of events has led to the United States government enacting martial law to control the violence and looting.

As the weeks pass and conditions worsen, the president knows he has to combat the crisis unfolding before him. The president invokes his power of executive privilege and signs an order to make all of the nation's military resources available and declares that all water and food in private hands become property of the United States government. Hoarding more food than thirty days' worth is against the law, and federal agencies can search and seize without cause. With the country teetering on the edge of collapse, Robert Ralston, an average citizen, will stop at nothing to protect his family.

With panic rising and an inevitable meltdown looming, Robert decides to use what knowledge and skills he has acquired as a novice prepper to survive and endure. Along the way, Robert discovers how vulnerable we are as a nation and how heavily we rely on simple things we take for granted every day. Robert's skills are put to the test; with his resources exhausted, he learns that unfortunately not everyone can be trusted, even the government. And most importantly, he learns what is truly important. Join Robert and his family as they embark on this thrilling quest to survive and thrive.

Good Story Part 1 of 2

What made the experience of listening to Nine Meals to Anarchy: Grid Down Part I the most enjoyable?

The story is possible and helps you learn a lot and prepare for something bad. In stead of bugging out they bug in.

What other book might you compare Nine Meals to Anarchy: Grid Down Part I to and why?

Probably The EMP book by Farrell Kingsley or One Second After.

Which scene was your favorite?

Favorite part of the book was when Robert free's the girl being held captive.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I had a lot of ups and downs. But really just want the second part to come out so I can see how it ends.

not for me.

I listened to the entire book but it was hard in places. the people made him out to be a savior and besides showing me I should have more than one stash, that's all it did.

Had to wake myself up a few times.

fist off to the author a clip is for reloading a magazine one does not install a clip on a rifle or pistol
the story obviously was written by someone who is not a prepper nor a shooter even a bow and arrow I'd guess
the story was alright the characters where more or less developed for the listener but I do not recommend this

Do not purchase

The worst audible book I have ever purchased. Story line is worse than a B rated movie. Please refund my money!
