About this listen

Wallace Wallace hates the book Old Shep, My Pal. His reasons? It's boring, and he's tired of dog stories because the dog always dies. In his book report, he writes that his favorite part is on the last page where it says, "The End".

Forced into detention, Wallace has a chance to witness rehearsals for the school play - which happens to be Old Shep, My Pal. Watching the drama take shape, he can't help but make suggestions. All the play needs is a Rollerblading dog catcher, a stuffed animal glued to a remote-controlled car, a moped disguised as a Harley, and some choreographed dance numbers with live rock tunes.

Award-winning author Gordon Korman published his first book at age 12. Since then, he has applied his uproarious sense of humor to more than 30 novels, such as The Chicken Doesn't Skate and The Twinkie Squad. A skilled group of narrators captures every colorful character in this hilarious romp.

Very cute story

Gordon Korman wrote a very entertaining story with a wonderful twist! Even though I've left my pre-teen/teenage years long ago I truly enjoyed this story. I would recommend this as a family book.

So funny

I grew up reading his books and this is one of my favorites!! I hate books that end with dogs dying.

Unique narration

I love how there is a different narrator for each character. All of them were great, and I enjoyed the story.

Changes every time I listen to it

This is an extremely funny book with an interesting lesson.
See every book you can ever think of that deals with lying,it is against it.This book is different, it explains that while in the traditional sense lying is wrong, in some ways it should be used. For example the main character in this book is always one hundred percent honest, even if that means they hurt someone else. Eventually they land in detention because of their way of life. Their teacher is upset about the character’s opinion of their favorite book. They both soon learn important lessons. The performance could have been better all the
boys sound the same sometimes.

Hilarious!

A classic Gordan Korman comedy read by a professional cast. This delightful story will bring you back to the injustices of elementary school & teach you about the importance of truth & humor. #AUDIBLE 20 REVIEW SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY
