Publisher's summary

A reluctant Mafia prince...

Vince Luca is just like any other high school guy. His best friend, Alex, is trying to score vicariously through him; his brother is a giant pain; and his father keeps bugging him to get motivated. There is just one thing that really sets him apart for other kids - his father happens to be the head of a powerful crime organization.

Needless to say, while Vince's family's connections can be handy for certain things (like when teachers are afraid to give him a bad grade), they can put a serious crimp in his dating life. Who wants to explain to your girlfriend what your father does for a living? But when Vince meets a girl who finally seems to be worth the trouble, her family turns out to be the biggest problem of all. Because her father is an FBI agent - the one who has been watching Vince's family for years, and who wants to put his father away for good.

Memory Lane

I remember reading this book when I was in middle school. I was 13 or 14 years old. The way I remember it was somewhat. Much like Vince, I too hid away secrets from people I cared about. Reading it now, over 5 years later, I honestly think I tried too much to think that I was Vince. I love the humor of the story the same way I did in middle school.

That was the best!!

The narrator was amazing! He couldn't have done a better job if he was Christopher Walken. The story line was incredible from the beginning. Oh and don't even get me started on the ending. Must read/listen!!!

YA mafia rom com

I read this book forever ago when I was in high school. I'm now in my thirties and had this vague memory of this book I read and remembered enjoying. It is wildly dated, with cassette tapes and the early days of the internet (it takes place in 2002) but it's still a good read. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and listened to the whole thing in a day.

The ending stood out the most to me.

I liked all the drama between Vince and Anthony, and all the romantic sections between Vince and Kendra.
