About this listen

From USA Today best-selling author Devney Perry comes a small town, enemies-to-lovers romance.

The night Luke Rosen met Scarlett Marks was the only time he’s regretted becoming chief of police. One horrific night of blood and death, and now she’s living under his roof — all because he swore an oath to serve and protect.

Scarlett is stubborn and infuriating. She has no respect for the order in his structured life, and she never does anything she’s told. Worse, she doesn’t seem to care that the information she has on a motorcycle gang means she might end up dead. But her unwavering strength, her courage and tenacity and beauty, makes it impossible for him to abandon her.

If Luke is going to keep her safe, he’ll have to make the hardest decision of his life. He can either honor his values as a cop, knowing Scarlett is unlikely to survive...or he can break all the rules and protect the woman who’s invaded his home and his heart.

What. A. Ride

My listening schedule got a bit off but I finally found time to fall into Luke and Scarlett’s world! What. A. Ride. I really enjoyed this couple and the danger surrounding them was real and present. I thought the narrators did a great job of bringing them to life and I felt the fear and terror. This book was INTENSE and I was here for it! Another great addition to the series!

Bumping up from 3 to 4 stars

Was gonna give this 3 stars because Scarlett was so stupid at times. She drove me insane! Bumping it up to 4 stars because I LOVED the second epilogue.

Found family

I’m obsessed with this series and I’m so happy Luke and Scarlett got their happy ending. I was giggling whenever he tried to scold her for moving his things around

Forced Proximity, Strangers to Friends to Lovers

4.5 Stars

How can you go wrong with a heroine in hiding, forced proximity, romantic suspense? Especially when it's written by Devney Perry? Let me tell you, you can't. I have truly loved every book from this series and I have no clue what I am going to do with myself when I finish it.

I absolutely loved the friendship Luke and Scarlett developed throughout this book and I love the way Luke was so understanding of Scarlett's past and her reasons for not trusting him from the start. I liked the little glimpses of everyone from the previous book, but I also love that so much of this book was on Luke and Scarlett. And I love the little glimpse into what the next book will be about. The mystery/suspense element in this book was really great and I love that while it carried over from the previous book, it stood on it's own as well.

I am so excited to see where else this series will go. This is one I would recommend to anyone who enjoys the following.

✔️ Forced Proximity
✔️ Strangers to Friends to Lovers
✔️ Law Enforcement Hero
✔️ Heroine in Hiding
✔️ Ex-Motorcycle Club
✔️ Mystery/Suspense
✔️ Small Town
✔️ First Person Dual POV

Right Person, Right Time

Scarlett is taken into protective custody by Luke's orders after getting kidnapped by Jeremiah. (This storyline was in the ending of book 3 in the series) She is also Presley's twin sister, but they have a very strenuous relationship. At this point they have just seen each other for a couple days since 10 years prior. Both have no officially escaped their abusive father.

Scarlett hates being trapped and fees like a prisioner. She escaped that with her father and wanted to live but since Jeremiah was part of a motorcycle club that has beef with the town's old club, she has to stay low. Luke feels bad for her so he decides that he will let her leave the safe house she was in and she will lay low at his house. He lays down rules and she decides that it's the best and safest move for herself.

Luke is the town's sheriff. He took over the position a couples years back and he loves what he does. What I love about Luke is that even though he has had to deal with some big town issues, he's still very soft and warm. He's so caring towards Scarlett. Over months of her laying low in his house, she gives its total makeover! She changed and organized every room. She really made the house one she loves, and Luke loved that it turned into a warm home.

Over time, Luke gets Scarlett to confide in him. She trusts him 100% and lets down all of her walls. She tells him secrets and feels comfortable enough to be able to cry on his shoulder and express her fears.

I don't want to give away a lot of spoilers because this book is one that constantly keeps you on your toes throughout the whole book. But with saying that, I absolutely loved how their story finished in this book.

Tropes:
Sheriff
Small Town
Motorcycle Club
Right Person, Right Time
Forced Proximity

Noble Prince

Noble Prince is a forced proximity romantic suspense and the next instalment in the Tin Gypsy series.

After a horror filled night, Scarlett's life is in danger and she is put into witness protection to save her from the Arrowhead Warriors. Luke is the chief of police and is sworn to serve and protect so when Scarlett refuses to stay in the safe house he does the only thing he can think of, move her into his house. After spending so much time together things start to heat up and when Scarlett is captured Luke has to decide if he is going to be a cop or break the rules and save her.

Another edge of your seat, page turner from Devney Perry. The Tin Gypsy series is quickly becoming one of my most favourite series and is a must read. The tension between Luke and Scarlett is thick while they are fighting their connection to each other but once they came together is was steamy. I can not wait for the next book in the series, Fallen Jester, as the series continues to get better with every book.

Teddy Hamilton and Ava Erickson have both done an amazing job bringing Noble Prince to life. These two are some of my favourite narrators.

"My insides were being torn in two, like a bullet ripping through my chest, shattering bone, splitting my heart right down the center." ~ Noble Prince by Devney Perry

Favorite of the Series

This is book 4 in the Tin Gypsy Series, and with every book released, this series has become and continues to stay my favorite series ever! The MC's in this book were my least favorite, and I was honestly not excited that they were next in the series, but that quickly changed. Good job Devney Perry, you have now made them my favorite couple!!
Scarlett has been through so much, but she is not weak, not whiney, and not a doormat. Scarlett has back bone, and grit, and is perfect for Luke. Luke is strong, protective, loving, caring, and sweet. There is an edge of suspense, and we get to see all of our favorites from the past books, but they don't takeover this story. I love DP's alpha males because they are protective, but not overbearing. Luke allows Scarlett to have opinions, thoughts, and makes her an equal partner in their relationship. The narration in this book is amazing!! Ava is always a wonderful, but pair her with Teddy, and this makes one of the best reads of 202. This book was a 10 star read for me!!!

All the stars go to this one!

This book this book this book!!! I loved it I think it may have to be my favorite book this year on tied at number one with Tragic from the Lark Cove series! Luke is the man everyone dreams about and Scarletts strength is so admirable. This book will have you at the edge of your seat, bitting your nails, swooning over Luke and Scarletts romance all at once. I felt all the emotions. I even cried with that damn ending. Just perfect! Now I have to wait for Leo’s story because that tease we got in this book has me with anxiety lol. Must read!

The Chief

The story of the motorcycle club continues and just keeps getting better. Luke and Scarlett’s love story is about being brave even when you’re scared. Loved it.

What a ride!

There are no books of Devney that I’ve disliked.

She just has a magical way of writing for me to binge them. Town Sheriff 🤌🏻 say less
Girl in hiding ✅ she’s broken and he wants to care for her.

This story was just so dang good.
