About this listen

Dirk De Graaf has kept his deadly secret for twenty-three years. Not one person on the planet knows.

Until today.

A chance encounter in the street threatens to expose everything and topple an empire he built with little more than ruthless cunning.

But it's just one man. One old man. And one old man can be dealt with easily enough.

Or so Dirk De Graaf thinks.

He should have picked a different old man because some old habits are hard to break and getting into trouble is Albert's speciality.

Compelling story told with humor and insights into human and dogs interaction and psychology. The narrator is a master of different accents - for people AND for the dogs!

outstanding narration

I was so happy that Steve wrote another book with our favorite characters. The narrator is also terrific and it was like old Home. We hearing his voice again. The story is great and I love hearing about Belgium.

Rex and Albert once again!

The personality and voice of Rex are well done. The plot is good but gets very complicated.

A good adventure of a dog and his human

First I'd like to comment how wonderful it was to listen to Charles Robert Fox again. The bots VV are a poor substitute for talent.

I had no idea where the storyline was going to go after the Culinary Capers. This adventure is fantastic!

The continuation of Albert Smith and Rex

Enjoyable listen with two good friends, Albert and Rex and new canine friends . As before , underestimating Albert proves foolish

Albert and Rex new adventures

These books never disappoint. The protagonist is the most loveable older man and his dog is a riot. Each installment gets better.

Humor and Whodunnit

What I didn't like were.. the inane dog thoughts, the narration, and especially I don't think anyone could reach the age of 80 and be quite so clueless. Also, the author obviously does not have a dog. If he does have a dog he has managed to know absolutely nothing about canine behavior. It's a silly, gimmicky book. You've been forewarned.

This was a poorly done, silly, novel

A good mystery can have elements that the reader knows while the characters struggle to put elements together. But when the characters are supposed to be savvy and clever and one is a retired decorated detective, yet basic steps of verification aren’t done it seems ridiculously weak story line for such a story.

Lacking
