I love listening to the McCabe series. It's relaxing and nostalgic. All of the main characters are good people but still have realistic flaws. Just what you'd expect in the late 1800's. Sure are a lot of bad guys too! The narrator is perfect for this type of book.

A Long Gone Era

Shows the true grit of the men and women the West required. Author reminded me of some similarities from Louis Llamore. I thoroughly enjoyed this one to the very last minute. I’d always change an ending if I could. But all good reads must come to an end at some point.

Good ole fashioned Western

When I started the first book I wasn't too sure about the Narrator but he grew on me quickly. I really looked forward to the second book as the first was fantastic!! This book I didn't enjoy as much, but it still was a good book and easy to listen to.

Downloading book 3 as we speak😄

J.Rodney Tuner is a very good narrator. His voice makes the story of a cowboy mountain man come live.

Good story

... As this second novel in the series takes a new thread but still involves the original Book 1 characters.

I'm so glad I didn't stop after Book 1...

The storyline was very believable on how the west was settled but I also really appreciate the fact it’s a clean story without all the vulgar language.
I didn’t really care for the narrator at first, but as I listen to him tell the story I could envision the way an old cowboy might have talked.
I am very much enjoying the series.

Good, clean, western story!
