You have suffered through a traumatic experience. You have survived it. You are here to tell your tale. Where do you go from here? You feel so much different than you did before your traumatic experience. You feel like a different person. You might not even be aware of who you are anymore. You might have lost your own sense of identity since you have suffered from trauma.
There are many people who have suffered from PTSD and complex PTSD who feel just like you. Approximately seven million people in America are currently suffering from PTSD or complex PTSD. Many others are suffering from other mental illnesses, some of them arising from trauma, like bipolar, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, OCD, OCPD, suicidal ideations, and borderline personality disorder.
You might feel as though you have changed in many fundamental ways. In reality, you probably have. PTSD and complex PTSD increases hormones in your brain and body that cause fight/flight/freeze reactions any time that you are exposed to traumatic or scary events.
PTSD and Complex PTSD increases the likelihood that you also experience these heightened states of arousal and awareness even with reminders, dreams or flashbacks from the events.
In this audiobook, we discuss where you are at with your current PTSD and complex PTSD symptoms, what you have gone through to get to this point, and how you can find your purpose after you have suffered from trauma in your life. The most important thing in your PTSD or complex PTSD is to find a purpose, so that you have something to move forward towards during your PTSD and complex PTSD recovery.

Trevor Clinger manages to guide us through this text with aplomb. A real professional, he is easy to follow and understand. You will never wonder what he said. Even though I did receive a promo code for this review it in no way influenced my considerations of the material, and in fact, inspired me to be more honest. In fact, getting a code generally makes me harsher as a reviewer as I am more often concerned what someone like Me will decide based on my review.
If this review helped, please press the YES below. Thank you immensely!!!
Great guide for those grieving too

I tried to get past it, but then the author starts listing things - possible causes for PTSD at first. "Maybe you grew up with a neglective or abusive parent. Maybe you lost your house. Maybe your parents weren't faithful to each other. Maybe you were a victim of molestation in your childhood years. Or maybe..." and it just goes on and on and on, with no rhyme or reason. Maybe this approach works in book form, but combined with the narrator, it just didn't. I skipped through the first list (had to press the forward button quite a few times. It is really *long*), but a few minutes after that he starts with a new list, about symptoms of PTSD. Again, the same jumbled approach. I had enough.
So, I can't say anything about the book past the 10 or 12 minute mark, but if you're interested, I'd advise to get the book version (if there is one).
Robotic narrator and overly long lists
