This "pain relief" guided self-hypnosis program was designed to assist the listener in gaining mind/body awareness, pain relief, self-healing, and deep relaxation. Please be advised that using any pain relief method for long-term use should only be used when the source of the pain is understood, and under the advisement of a qualified health provider. The hypnosis induction features isochronic tones which are a form of brainwave entrainment to help achieve deeper relaxation.
Also included within this program is an extended affirmations track, a meditation track (partly guided, with ancient Solfeggio frequencies) and as an extra bonus, an exciting and powerful drum journey bodywork track. Using an alternate induction, hypnotic drum beats, and posthypnotic suggestions related to pain relief, this drum journey is designed to get the listener out of their brain and back into their body. Many find this useful for releasing energy blocks, healing, and integrating the mind, body, and spirit.
Written and narrated by Anna Thompson, MA, MHP, LMHC, Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist. Life is short; live it well.

Doc: “You’re fifty now. You need a colonoscopy.”
Me: “How is that going to help my upper back.”
Doc: “Colon cancer is a terrible way to die.”
Me: “Does it start in your upper back?”
Doc: “I’m going to set up an appointment for you.”
I will do ANYTHING to avoid wasting another four hours of my life that I can never get back sitting in an awful, back-breaking chair only to get ANOTHER lecture about colon cancer (it is a terrible thing – but it’s not making my back hurt!) and the practice’s need to make a payment on their fancy, new scope (no, it’s actually phrased "total health care plan," but that’s what it boils down to – the standardized bilking of my already-crappy company insurance to pay for their latest toy, and, yes, I am cynical, but I find that long-term back pain makes me bitter).
Long story short (I know: too late!): Pain Relief Guided Self Hypnosis. Bought it May 26. Listened to it two nights straight and realized – hey…something’s missing here…no back pain!
Now it’s June 8, I listen to it every other day (or so), and I have had no back (or any other) pain. I don’t need that colonoscopy after all…
Seriously – if you’ve got pain, and you don’t want to kill off your liver, kidneys, or stomach taking OTC or prescription meds, and you don’t have any conditions that self-hypnosis might be in conflict with (I don’t know what they might be, I’m just sayin’) – this might just make your life better. I promise you won’t end up clucking like a chicken or waking up in the middle of the night and committing a ninja attack on the nearest government building.
Unless that is something you really want to do.
If you've got pain that isn't going away, suspend your disbelief (like when you're listening to the news) and try it.
7/13/2022: No, JA, I am not a friend of the author. Your opinion may differ from mine - but that doesn't make me biased. I still use this program when I have pain, and it still works for me. I still recommend it.
