About this listen

On her last mission, HMS Invincible discovered an alien threat beyond human understanding: a sentient virus that has already absorbed a number of intelligent races into its multitude and now intends to do the same to humanity. Defeat means the end of everything, the end of existence as nothing more than mindless host-bodies, the end of humanity and its alien allies alike. The stakes could not be higher.

As a deeply divided humanity struggles to prepare a defense, with enemies inside and outside the human sphere just lurking to strike, Invincible is sent deep into alien space on what should have been a simple reconnaissance mission. But, as Captain Shields and his crew begin their mission, it rapidly becomes clear that a juggernaut is bearing down on Earth....

And, no matter what they do, they may never make it home again.

While the plot of the series progresses and keeps me interested, the constant rehashing of idioms and common phrases overwhelms and dilutes the experience. I'm hoping the next book is the conclusion of this saga and curious to discover if Nuttall's other offerings are as similar to this series. That being said, perspective changes and overall emotion are conveyed well and help to build situational impact as needed.

Good story but more of the same.

Another Great Ark Royal Epic

I truly enjoy this series. You kinda know what is going to happen but you don’t all at the same time

Another Great Ark Royal Epic

Overall a great continuation of the Ark Royal series. From battles in space to planetary raids this book covers it all to include threats from sentient microorganisms. The reader performs well except for the Texas accent, which was horrible.

Fighting Viruses

Not since the Tadpoles in the first arc have the men and women of Earth’s Royal Space Navy been tested! War is Hell, but what happens when the enemy you face is not only inhuman but not even a life form?
I am looking forward to the next books in this series as this has escalated from small territorial conflicts to a Galactic conquest!

Finally, A worthwhile enemy!

This volume continues the struggle between humanity and an almost incomprehensible form of alien life. This struggle is a most unusual form of warfare, due to the nature of the alien species. It is exciting, and almost impossible to put down. I am looking forward to the continuation of this most excellent series.

An exciting addition to the Ark Royal series

Much better than a couple of earlier books which seemed to boarder on Stella Star. Thanks for the good read.
