Publisher's summary

Dragos Cuelebre is no longer the only dragon.

Dragos’s son Liam Cuelebre (a.k.a. Peanut) is springing into existence, reminiscent of the first of the Elder Races who were born at the beginning of the world. At just six months of age, he has already grown to the size of a large five-year-old boy. He can read, write in complete sentences, and his math skills are off the chart.

A white dragon in his Wyr form, Liam also holds more power than almost anyone else. In an effort to give him a taste of normality, no matter how fleeting, his parents Pia and Dragos enroll him in first grade.

They hope school will help teach Liam how to relate to others, a vital skill that will help him control his growing Power. But school has a surprising number of pitfalls, and relating to others can be a tricky business.

When a classmate is threatened, Liam must quickly learn self-control, how to rein in his instincts, and govern his temper, because there’s no doubt about it - he is fast becoming one of the most dangerous creatures in all of the Elder Races.

What a First Day at School!!!

Peanut stops bullies, gets a girlfriend, and gets a bad teacher put in jail!!!! And he didn't even finish the first day. This may be short, but it is so cute you have to listen to it again. The talk he and Dragos has at the end was very moving and it gives us just a small hit of the dragon Peanut will grow up to be.

Thea and Sophie do their normal great jobs and the Elder Races is still one of my favorite series. Only bad thing is now I have to wait for the next book to come out.

Short and sweet story of The Peanut

A fun novella to catch up on how Liam aka The Peanut is growing into his dragon power. This is the 3rd short story about Dragos, Pia, & Liam so it's best to read all the books in order.

I Adore Peanut!

I just adore Peanut! These short novellas are perfect treats for Elder Race fans. While nothing major happens to advance the story arc for the series, it's just a nice visit with character friends. Short afternoon listen and pure top-notch entertainment.

Loved It!

Ok, there aren't enough words available to express how much I love the entire Elder Races series. Not. Enough. Words. This novella is adorable.

What I really need to comment on this time is Sophie Eastlake's performance. Perfection. She's always been brilliant at capturing not only the perfect voice, but also the perfect essence of the character's personality. This time.... I have heard countless narrators, talented narrators, destroy the voice of a child. She nails Liam's voice, age appropriately, and with such attention to detail that I absolutely BELIEVED I was listening to that child. Well done.

If you don't own every one of the Elder Races books on audio yet, you are doing yourself a grand enjoyment disservice!
