Publisher's summary

As Justin's recovery moves forward, Dallas dares to hope their lives are settling into their new normal. His money worries have eased; business is picking up; and best of all, Justin now laughs more than he frowns.

Justin's memory still eludes him, but with each snippet or flashback, small pieces of his old life start to slot into place. He remembers more of Dallas and how perfectly happy their lives used to be, and with each passing day, Justin realizes he can have that again.

But when someone from Justin's past turns up, he discovers that not all the missing pieces are good, and sadly, he and Dallas also learn just what it means to live with a traumatic brain injury.

If Dallas and Justin have to fight for their happily ever after, then Dallas will stop at nothing - nothing - to give Justin the life he always wanted.

". . . as I tried to put the puzzle of myself back together, it was the pieces of us that made me whole."

Has editing flaws

This book (and book two) have editing flaws. There are multiple sections that repeat itself, word for word (half sentences). And I kinda think it’s the book, not the narrator, because some of them don’t sound like an exact duplicate… they sound like Glen Lloyd read the section 2x, as written.

Other than that. This series is beautiful. A lot more lovey and lighthearted than I expected for this trope.

Absolutely marvelous! The Best!

I loved 1and 2, but this special ending is wonderful and I wish there was/could be more! I could read about these two forever!

Happily ever after!

Narration: Glen brought so much emotion to this narration … easily one of my favorite audiobook series ever.

Story: What an awesome conclusion to this lovely series. This book is just as romantic and hopeful and sweet as the previous books. Although Justin will never be the same as he was before the accident, in this book we do get to see him reclaim his life and start to move on from his long recovery. There are some really tender and intimate scenes in this one that made my heart burst. But also, Justin is finally feeling up to some fun intimacy and flirty banter! I could read about these guys forever, but this conclusion is super satisfying and I loved their HEA. This is definitely one of my favorite series ever!

Brilliant end to a wonderful series

This trilogy of books is about an established couple. They’ve got it all figured out – they’re happy living and working together. They’ve resolved issues with their respective families. They’ve carved out their place in the world together and aside from the arguments over footy and toilet paper, life is really good.

Until the day it all went sideways.

Justin’s accident devastated Dallas and left Justin with amnesia. He faced the choice of living in a strange place alone, or living in a strange place with a man he senses is trustworthy. A man who is in photographs with him. Intimate photos. So they had to mean something to each other at some point, right? My heart broke for both men. Dallas for having to witness the love of his life almost die, and Justin for having to fight back from injuries including the traumatic one to his brain.

The first book ends with Justin remembering an important part of Dallas. The second book picks up from that point and moves through Justin’s slow but steady recovery. Small steps, minor improvements. One day at a time. That book ends with them going out to a social event for the first time.

This final book picks up from there. Dallas, who has been carrying most of the stress, finally gets some good news, and relief is on the way. Justin is slowly regaining some memories while forming new ones. Intimate issues begin to crop up as Justin begins to feel more like himself. Or his new self. Then someone from his past shows up and it all goes sideways again.

One step forward, two steps back.

But Justin possesses a resiliency, and I know a lot of that comes from Dallas. Dallas who has never wavered. Never considered not being there for every disappointment and every triumph.

The book’s first chapter is in Justin’s point of view, as is the last – the epilogue. Have to say, it was pretty great.

Now, I loved this book when I first read it, and leapt on the audio because I’ve enjoyed every Glen Lloyd/N.R. Walker collaboration. I will note several times there are repeated lines in the audio and although irritating, didn’t diminish my love of the book.

This is a series worth the time and financial investment. Truly brilliant, emotional in a good way, and just plain entertaining.
