About this listen

From USA Today bestselling author Rebecca Jenshak comes a standalone fake dating sports romance. This steamy, grumpy / sunshine football romance delivers a swoony and emotional happily ever after.

Brogan Six’s fan mail has been filling my mailbox for weeks. With every lipstick covered letter I receive, my irritation with him grows. And let’s not talk about the time I accidentally opened one of the packages to find someone had sent him their panties. Gross. When I come face-to-face with my new nemesis, I expect to give him a piece of my mind and we’ll go our separate ways. Me to an empty mailbox and him to sift through his panty collection. That is not what happens.

I don’t know if it was the booze, his clever wit, or if I was tricked (I’m sure I was tricked), but now I’m fake dating the Mavericks’ hot new rookie. And I might just be the next woman to lose her panties to Brogan Six. Playbook is a standalone fake dating, grumpy/sunshine sports romance with banter, found family, spice, and a guaranteed happily ever after.

Such a well done audio performance. Loved both narrators and the story. I love how they didn’t have any silly miscommunication or an internal dialogue that just focused on their lust. It was genuine and fun to see their relationship grow. I love the email character and how she didn’t just fall into him. Get this book!

Love the duet/dual POV

Female narrator was not my favorite. But the story was cute. Jacob Morgan is awesome in this one.

I’m not a fan of the female narrator

This kept coming up in booktok and romance book lover circles as a need to listen but I kept putting it off. I finally decided to take the plunge but with Jacob Morgan narrating it I just HAD to.

When I tell you I fell in LOVE with this book and Brogan and London! 🥰

I have a very short comfort re-listen list and this is now definitely on it. Can I give more stars???

I truly loved this story—it was remarkable how the relationship between the characters developed slowly, which is a refreshing change from many other books that rush through things. The two narrators were fantastic, perfectly capturing the characters’ essence with their tone and delivery. Being a huge fan of Jacob Morgan, I was thoroughly pleased, and Eden’s performance was just as engaging with her alluring, practical, and straightforward portrayal. I appreciated that there were no pointless dramas or games; both characters came across as refreshingly mature and genuine.

At first, she misjudges him, but as she gets to know him better, she realizes her error. I admired how she didn’t rush to conclusions when he took his time to respond after she shared her feelings. Instead, she gave him the space he needed, and eventually, he opened up, showing his true self—noble and deeply misunderstood because of his past. It was uplifting to see him come to terms with the fact that he wasn’t responsible for his parents’ treatment of him and his sister. Kudos to both narrators, especially to Eden—I believe you have a wonderfully captivating voice, and I can’t wait to hear more from you in the future. Great job!

SPOILER ALERT! “No games just chemistry a narration to remember”

Imagine showing up for your weekly brunch with your sister, only to find your ex—who cheated on you—sitting there too, alongside both of your families. That’s the reality for London, the heroine of *Playbook* by Rebecca Jenshak. She handles it with class, but later, after a few drinks and a night out, she vents her frustration by confronting the man whose mail (mostly perfume-sprayed panties) keeps ending up in her PO Box—Brogan Six, an NFL star and hometown hero. Her sassiness somehow lands her a date with him, proving that sometimes, a bit of attitude can go a long way!

*Playbook*, the second book in the Holland Brothers series, is a delightful mix of grumpy/sunshine, fake dating, and enemies-to-lovers tropes. London is a competent, funny, and smart heroine, making it impossible not to fall for her just as quickly as Brogan does. The side characters and subplots complement the main story beautifully, adding layers of complexity to the characters and deepening the emotional connection.

I was thoroughly impressed with this installment and can’t wait to continue the series. *Playbook* is a solid 4 out of 5 stars for me—don’t miss out on spending time with this Holland brother and his fantastic heroine!

Brogan & London's story was a sweet / sexy / cozy read. Broken is a rookie football player a d London is a sassy illustrator that are thrown together by a hilarious mailbox debacle.
