About this listen

A practical guide to working with the principles of polyvagal theory beyond the therapy session.

Deb Dana is the foremost translator of polyvagal theory into clinical practice. Here, in her third book on this groundbreaking theory, she provides therapists with a grab-bag of polyvagal-informed exercises for their clients, to use both within and between sessions.

These exercises offer readily understandable explanations of the ways the autonomic nervous system directs daily living. They use the principles of polyvagal theory to guide clients to safely connect to their autonomic responses and navigate daily experiences in new ways. The exercises are designed to be introduced over time in a variety of clinical sessions with accompanying exercises appropriate for use by clients between sessions to enhance the therapeutic change process.

Essential listening for any therapist who wants to take their polyvagal knowledge to the next level and is looking for easy ways to deliver polyvagal solutions with their clients.

Well done...giving hope in a doable way....

I plan to relisten until it's comes natural.

Thus should be taught in elementary schools how to regulate emotions are the foundation tools to learn and thrive in our world of chaos.

I love having found Dana's book and resources...angels send me these wonderful books so I can persevere my breast cancer journey to help others learn you can survive cancer without going to Chemotherapy land.

I will seek more information from your resources...this is exciting 🤗🙋‍♀️😇

Don’t waste time

They know four big words, and repeat them in every sentence.

The book would actually be 20 pages long if they took out all the repetition And saying nothing with a lot of words .

Too academic to be useful

This writer understands the vagaries system but doesn’t understand how people actually integrate information. It reads like therapy for robots.
