About this listen

Rebekiah Kearns’ passion is photography - erotic images of sex, love, and the boundaries between them. Still wounded by the death of her best friend, she’s locked her heart away and forges her only meaningful connections through the lens of her camera.

Lindsey Blackwell never stops. Her work as a wealth management consultant takes her all over the world, and she just doesn’t have time to make a relationship work. Women always end up asking for more than she can give.

When Rebekiah receives a huge inheritance, all she wants to do is get rid of it, but Lindsey has other ideas. Their professional relationship quickly turns personal when Lindsey agrees to pose for Rebekiah. With every click of the shutter, Rebekiah finds it harder and harder to keep Lindsey in focus, without getting too close.

The story was great, the writing was great for the most part. However, what the heck happened at the end? I feel like the author was against a deadline and just sent it in to the publisher without finishing. It is essentially unfinished. This is disappointing after reading book 2 (which I read first).

Great story and storyline, but…

I had high expectations for this book after Foolproof but this totally fell flat. There were a lot plot lines introduced but weren’t explored.

The meat of the story revolves around a large sum of money that Lindsey is trying to manage for Rebekah who inherited it from an ex/friend(?) who died and the death left her traumatized… but we don’t know how she died and why she was given such an enormous amount of money. And what kind of person was this ex who requested to have her photograph taken in a compromised position after she died? At leas that’s what I think happened? I don’t know.

Lindsey is a recovering alcoholic but it was glossed over and didn’t really add to the plot or impact the dynamics of the MCs’ relationship with each other or anyone else.

I think BDSM was supposed to be the highlight sexual experience but it didn’t flow very well.

The ending also just kind of happened and then the book was over. It wasn’t a cliffhanger ending, it just stopped.

This could have been so much more. The narrator don’t put too much energy into it either.

So, just ok.

It was ok.

I don’t like it when the important drama is shoved at the end and not developed well. I would have loved to hear more about it.
But it was an OK book. Hollis Elizabeth was excellent as usual, and saved the story.

OK story

This is a book with women that have realistic issues to overcome. You can see the support and bond they develop. The sex scenes are hot with a touch of kink. Hollis Elizabeth did a wonderful job narrating. I definitely recommend this book!

Two real women

It's was a very nice book.i truly enjoy the two main characters. I wish the ending could have been better linked to the second book. Like how was the 2 engaged, how was hong Kong for them.... it was a good listen though and I definitely recommend.

I wanted an epilog

When you take two morally ambivalent people, make them fuck a lot, add more unethical behavior like BDSM sexual coercion, then end it with the unethical and immoral folks learning nothing and getting away with their crimes it doesn’t really matter to me if they fall in love. Sorry. You have to make your characters somewhat likable in order for people to care about them. I’m sorry I kept listening, I just kept hoping that somehow, someway they would redeem themselves. They did not.

Morals Anyone
