Publisher's summary

Psychology of...Horror Villains, Survivors, and Victims poses this question: If our favorite characters were real, what would their psychological disorder be? Could they have been helped? What type of treatments would they have received? Why were some people survivors, and why did others become victims?

S.L. Yarbrough uses her masters degree in applied behavioral science with an emphasis in psychology and criminal justice to analyze each one. If you love hearing about criminal psychology, or are a student majoring in psychology, or find true-crime stories fascinating, and, of course, are a fan of horror, then you will enjoy Psychology of...Horror Villains, Survivors, and Victims, the first in an extensive series looking at all genres.

Waste of a Credit

The premise of this book is intriguing and presents itself in a way to get any horror junky to click “yes please” but it sadly falls very short. First the person reading this has no passion for what they are reading and makes every word a chore to pay attention to but its not all her fault since the material is just awful. Once again the premise is great but the execution is so so bad. You hope for in depth study or at least fun suppositions about your favorite horror villains and their victims/survivors but all u get r brief glances of backstory and the crimes mixed with a couple clinical words and then on to the next. i was already through Friday the 13th and Halloween while getting breakfast in a McDs drive through. And it wasn’t a busy day. I eventually lost all interest and couldn’t finish. Its a good idea but don’t waste a credit or a dime on this book
