About this listen

The police are called to stop two teens ransacking a small-town grocery store. They have no identification. And they won’t speak a word. And the small town of Kokanee Creek is suddenly plunged into a sinister mystery that only #1 bestseller James Patterson could have written.

Two teens appear out of nowhere, ransacking a small-town grocery and attacking the police officers who come to investigate. Their clothes are torn and filthy, their hands and bare feet callused, they have fangs. They’re sister and brother, alone against the world. Where did they come from? Raised by wolves, they say.

Kai and Holo are taken in by the police chief and his wife, and begin adjusting to life in a small town, attending school and going on dates. But humans, they find, are the most vicious animals. And the mystery of their upbringing brings dark and powerful forces to Kokanee Creek, tearing the town apart and threatening the lives of everyone they love. How will the wolves survive? How will Kai and Holo?

Kids- wolves? What?

Books can be an escape. This book isn't something I can even pretend to enjoy. Certainly didn't take me to another place. It was not for me. No thanks!

The visual pictures painted by the author

I didn’t care for the ending, but the storyline was excellent. Brought the Forest and sleepy town alive.

A Unique Page Turner

Raised By Wolves is best young adult novel I have read in years! While the underlying premise is pure fiction, the characters are rich and well developed, and the plot twists are excellent! I hope this is the beginning of a series!

Entertaining enough

As long as you wrap your disbelief in a tight bundle and hide it in the back of the closet the story is engaging. The narrations were excellent; the characters are entertaining albeit a bit shallow and preachy.

Not Pattersons best

I didn't realize when I purchased it that this is a YA novel. Though the storyline was fairly engaging, it's pretty simplistic. There was way too much teenage romance for my taste and the characters were pretty stereotypical.

Not uplifting

I didn’t expect to be so disappointed in this book. Generally, it was a good storyline and I found it interesting. But the ending was just depressing and I find it very unrealistic that there were so many people against these two children.

Poor ending

The ending wasn’t great. It felt like the author didn’t know how to end it or like he got tired of writing the book and had to end it quickly. The end felt underdeveloped.

the girls knowledge that she was the alpa and knew decisions made by her affected not just her.

I guess that there were too many escapes. once the police knew their capabilities, escaping shld have been harder.

Young Adult Fiction

I must have missed the information that this book was aimed at young teens. This was certainly not what I expected from a James Patterson collaboration. The plot was totally unbelievable, too much characterization and too little action. Very disappointing as an adult read.
