About this listen

After a successful party at Bodie Island's Lighthouse Library, librarian Lucy Richardson is ready to curl up with her cat, Charles, and a good book. But her R and R is cut short when she notices some mysterious lights leading a small boat to crash into the coast. The two shipwrecked seafarers survive the ordeal - but one of them shows up dead ashore a few days later. Lucy finds herself again roped into a murder investigation and navigating a sea of suspects, all of whom had motives to deep-six the deceased. And this time, she has a sinking feeling that finding the real killer won't be so easy....

THUNDER, LIGHTNING, WINDOW SEAT AND THIS BOOK!!

This was a fantastic, interesting and well written book set in my favorite place, A lighthouse, A storm, A murder and a mystery to solve. A cast of well rounded characters and twist and turns. I want more of this type of books, Eva Gates!!!!

better than the first book

I still cannot stand watson he does not act like a good detective. The mysteries are fairly simple and easy to figure out but thats the vibe this series is supposed to give off. louise jane shouls not.even be included as a character she is way to annoying and shallow for my taste. but i.love again the description the smoothness of daily life of Lucy and her personality along with the cute cat charles. Lucy is a good character and representative of an independent woman. I like that in a female lead.

Reading Up A Storm

Reading Up A Storm is pretty good. The mystery is well planned and the characters have moved beyond the love triangle. I look forward to seeing what happens next in this book.

Look it up.

In the world of Google, there is little excuse for mispronunciation of unfamiliar words. Fray-nel lens, not frez-nel for instance. It reduces enjoyment for the listener. So, story is good but 5 minutes prep by narrator would help.

Enjoyed!

Sad to hear this is the last of the series. I liked the characters and hoped to hear more of the lighthouse.

Librarians can be very interesting

I love the characters in her books they remind me of some of the people I know . Louise Jane adds interesting twist to the storyline. She's a very interesting character and I hopefully she doesn't get killed off.
