Rebellion is the turning point in the great interstellar war between all living creatures and the machines. Star Force is on the side of the machines... but for how long?

In the third book of the Star Force series, Kyle Riggs learns just what kind of war Earth is caught up in. At the mercy of the Macros, his marines fight against new alien races, big and small. The plot moves along and develops a bit more, but this is really just the same as the last book with a different setting. Not necessarily a bad thing, as I liked the other books a good bit.

More of the same

This is the third book of the star force Series. At the center is Kyle Riggs and his Marines. We find ourselves in one battle after another and it seems earth always hangs in the balance.

I love the storyline overall but I don’t really care much for the girlfriend of the protagonist. The addition of Marvin adds a nice touch and a bit of twist to the story however.

Sandra is too whiny

I love this series, the author doesn't bore the reader with unnecessary jargon or technical information, but adds enough to make it interesting and help the story along. Audible, keep doing these books!

Awesome,and original.

Would you consider the audio edition of Rebellion to be better than the print version?

Mark Boyett's performance is outstanding. He keeps the characters seperate and the story moving along,

Who was your favorite character and why?

Marvin is a great charater can't wait for further development of this character.

Any additional comments?

if you haven't read the previous books in this series I would start there.

Outstanding story, Outstanding performance

Overall it's a fine story like most of Larson's work. The only thing that really bothers me is the girlfriend character. She's completely unlikable and annoying. She comes off as brainless, vindictive and generally a horrible excuse for a human being. If she was removed or rewritten with even half a brain it'd make a huge difference.

Hate the girlfriend...

Some of the interpersonal stuff was just so over the top. I suppose he needed to address the personal stuff but it just seemed so out of place.
The book was great but I felt my attention falling off at the 2/3 mark. I even fast forwarded to the end just so I felt some resolution then the next day I slogged through the remaining chapters.

Great book but the last third was TEDIOUS.

likable characters and a fun story that moves along at a good place. Not overly deep yet not slow and boring. great for listening to when driving or going to sleep when you can't give your full attention.
