The perfect blend of Back to the Future and The Shawshank Redemption.

Gerald Holstrom is serving his life sentence trying not to think of the crime that led him to 47 years inside. His hands hurt, his back aches, he waits to die.

Death comes swiftly at the end of a sharp piece of metal.

Gerald fades, his regrets flood him. He wishes only to see the sky without barbed wire blocking his vision.

He fades out....

Then back in.

The sky is clear, his hands don’t shake, his body doesn’t ache.

He’s 19 again, is his future set? His Journey is just beginning!

Great story. Compelling characters and character development. Excellent story development. Can't wait for next installment in the series.

Great take on time travel

I love sci-fi/fantasy movies and books, but I also find it hard to find stuff that interests me that doesnt seem corny or already played out premises...that being said this book held my interest all the way through. Great dialogue between characters, great storyline and overall premise, a nice unique idea that was well written. I would def. recommend.

Great book

I love books like this and it was perfect. The only disappointment is book 2 isn't on audible yet!

Great!

I very much had "The First 15 Lives of Harry August" vibes from this book and found the premise a good addition to the genre. This is a good listen that doesn't require much attention. The world building isn't as strong as other entries in this genre I've enjoyed such as the title above and the mechanics of the time traveling and history of the travelers are also not delved into nearly deeply enough. I'm usually willing to overlook small details to ultimately enjoy the story overall. However, the mechanics of what happens to travelers if their reset point does not occur due to history changing is a large hole the story never filled. Especially given the story leaned so heavily on reseting to an exact moment in time important to the character, that ultimately may not occur if history changed significantly enough. Do they not return or does it not matter. Unfortunately, this is never answered in the first book. I would listen to the second book and hope this could be addressed if it was on Audible.

Overall a good listen and worth the credit.

Pretty good book of repeating lives

A good light hearted read, fun for the whole family. What happens to the body after reset? Can they go back and find it?

Fun

Narrator wasn’t spectacular. The entire timeline of a person dying and resetting, in regards to overlapping with others and if there in the same world or multiverse etc is not explained. And some minor things like paying for items at 21 century inflationary rates in the 1950’s are kind of screwy. Also way too much reference to prison life (we get it)

It was ok

not exactly time travel but a suspenseful tale of entangled lovers and enemies . ..will lead you down a twisting rabbit hole with lots of twists and turns.

intrigue and infinity

Perhaps low reread ability. I did enjoy the plot but I don't know if I'm going to be listening to it over and over at some of my favorite books. I hope that I can find the second book now and if not that I don't have to wait long for the next!

There was one review that said that the narrator read without changing his tone with anybody else but that he did make an attempt at two different accents and totally failed. The accents do suck however they're not that bad and you can kind of ignore it. Ask for her is changing of tone he doesn't do a lot of that but I'm kind of glad because when narrators go too far and they don't do a good job it is very distracting and this narrators speech and voice allowed the narrator to fade into the background so that I can just become aware of the story and to me that's really the best kind of narration when I'm not really paying attention or even aware of the narrator

Looking forward to next book

Putting aside the narrator’s annoying voice, I was enjoying the book till around chapter 21 when it all got a bit silly when the immortals and their rules entered the plot. Couldn’t listen anymore.
