About this listen

A time travel historical adventure.

Jackson Lee is a well-known adventure vlog influencer. He and a small support crew have been cashing in on the video craze with phenomenal, hair-raising exploits for years.

Their latest undertaking is way beyond anything they've ever done. It's extremely dangerous and, worse, highly illegal. Never would Jackson have imagined those risks to be the least of his worries.

After stumbling over the archaeological find of the century, Jackson and a local anthropologist suddenly find themselves transported to a different time and place. It's a world of unbelievable sights, unimaginable marvels, and barbaric practices that violate all that is human. Despite treading lightly as they deal with this new reality, their intrusion results in unintended consequences for the world they left. Making it right is their top priority, along with surviving the ordeal. It may not be possible to do both.

Can they clean up the mess they've made? Or will the attempt just make it worse?

Outstanding story!

So I really really enjoyed this story. A little bit of a slow start but stick with it as it sets up everything that happens afterwards.

Spectacular

I love all of his books. Mr. Zugg writes so that you feel like you are transported back in time as well. I can't wait for his books to become mini-series or movies!

Narrator is meh, story is good

Narrator is a bit difficult to listen too and the characters mostly sound the same.

Another good history lesson with a fun story

Lots of fun, realistic approach to a science fiction idea. It moves quickly and keeps you listening. Dig it, read the other trilogy first, this one is a fun extension of that same style.

Worth your time!

I don’t like “influencers” but this didn’t go that route. Amazing plot twists and understandable storyline! I just came across the title, not expecting to enjoy it, just something to listen to while driving. I loved it!

Started slow

First half of the book was slow. Then it picked up a bit after it was almost over. Overall it was good, but it takes a while to get there.

More on time travel

Over all it was good… but it was only in the last few chapters that we got the time travel element. Spent too much time in my opinion setting up the story. Needed more on the time travel aspect.

Great time travel book

I really liked this book. I would like to have more information about how she fixed the time line. Great narration.

Seems a bit YA but pretty good anyway

For the first half or so I was convinced I had gotten a YA novel by mistake. The storyline and dialogue seemed oriented that way. But just when I was considering giving it up, I found myself more engaged, and by the end I was glad I had stayed with it. Granted, the adult situations were somewhat tame and so was the swearing. And the violence was not gruesome. But then, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. And although I usually avoid time travel stories because there are often flaws in their reasoning, I found none here. This author is well known for his time travel novels and I think I might actually try another one. (BTW, the narrator is outstanding.)
