Fantastic novel.

Ryk Brown has again written a great book. Laced with action and suspense I was captivated thru the entire book and could not put it down. The narrator again was superb in his performance by keeping the action moving and clearly defining each chatacter thru voice and emotion. I loved it!!!

The series is back!

***Spoiler***

Maybe it was because Jeffrey Kafer is back, maybe it's because ***spoiler*** the Captain is (almost) back but I feel the series is back to what it's best at!

I really cannot wait for the next one.

Welcome back Mr. Kafer !!!!

I could only skim they the previous title as the narration was horrible. Wasn't sure if I would be able to continue wit the series. Thankfully we got Jeffery Kafer back and all is as it should be In the cluster. Oh and the story was top notch. I am excited to see where this goes.

really good except one thing.

i really like this story. good characters. good plot. really good. my only problem is the clone aspect of this book. not one person said Nathan Scott is dead. his clone is not him. never will be. scanning someone's brain. getting their memories is not getting the consciousness. it's just copying their mind. also doing that to a person. ir not working so you completely changed their memories false ones. he gets a ship and hires some people. completely altering their lives. its evil and demented. it's also selfish and not good. should have been one character in this saying that. Nathan Scott is dead. permanently. the clone did none of that stuff. everyone just going yeah man you are him. is ridiculous. still like this series.

Jeffrey Kafer is back

Thank you for bringing Mr. Kafer back to narrate. He brings the true nature of each character to life. No disrespect to the narrator of Escalation but he made all of the characters whiny brats. Welcome back to the Frontier Mr. Kafer

Fast paced military sci-fi? yes pleaee

I wish the episodes were longer... or at least not full priced. Aside from that, Ryk delivers another nail biter.

Again, just wow!

During the flashback chapters, despite knowing the future so to speak, parts of that were really difficult to get through. Yet another incredible book in the frontiers saga.

Jumps are the story

The story jumps repeatedly from flash back to present. The characters become jumbled and it's difficult to follow along with the plot. At first I thought I had missed one of the other books since the story begins 7 years later. There are definitely plot twists aplenty. If the next books degenerate into a "Groundhog Day" of trips back in time or alternate time lines then I'll be done with the series.
