About this listen
Morgan Hayes grows up in the 20th century with a mysterious attraction to a hollow suit of armor that stands in the window of her mother’s antique store. She is 24 years old when she becomes entangled within the armor’s metal plates and is whisked back in time, where she is mistaken for a twin sister she knows nothing about. Morgan is forced to marry King Henry’s favored knight, Derek Vanguard, Lord of Braddock Hall.
Abandoned by his mother and having failed as a child to gain his father’s love, Derek’s heart is as cold as the stone walls of his castle. In the end, will Morgan discover the true power of love?

She wanted sanctuary... Helena Reynolds will do anything to escape her life in London, even if that means traveling to a remote cliffside estate on the North Devon coast and marrying a complete stranger. But Greyfriar's Abbey isn't the sort of refuge she imagined. And ex-army captain Justin Thornhill - though he may be tall, dark, and devastatingly handsome - is anything but a romantic hero. He needed redemption... Justin has spent the last two decades making his fortune, settling scores, and suffering a prolonged period of torture in an Indian prison.

It's hard not to be afraid while I'm still uncured, though so far the deliria hasn't touched me yet. Still, I worry. They say that in the old days, love drove people to madness. What did you like best about Return of the Rose? What did you like least?
The performanceWhat was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
too mediocre to listen to the endHow could the performance have been better?
Yes! A softer voice.Do you think Return of the Rose needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
noAny additional comments?
If the sound of the annoying voice wasn't so bad I might have been able to listen to it just for fun.Terrible performance sound - screechy nasal twang

This book is interesting enough to be entertaining without making you think. Sometimes that's just what you need in a listen. The narration was good, I liked the characters. What would have taken this book to the next level would have been more historical facts. The author glosses over this with our main character's lack of historical knowledge, but it would have been a good addition. Still, the story was a fun listen.Light listening for entertainment

this story had one of the best endings I have ever heard! the story itself was terrific, but the ending was the best!great ending
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
It was a funny enjoyable romantic tale about Knights and castles and dreams coming true, no it wasn't 'historically acurate' but I don't think it was supposed to be, so don't look too deeply into this book - it's pure escapism and it's an easy listening fun romp through time.
I thought the narrator did a great job and didn't speak too fast for me but if you're concerned then sample her voice first..
Worth my credit? Yes, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
