About this listen

Early in her life, Josephine Malone learned the hard way that there was only one person she could love and trust: her grandmother, Lydia Malone. Out of necessity, unconsciously and very successfully, Josephine donned a disguise to keep all others at bay. She led a globetrotting lifestyle on the fringes of the fashion and music elite, but she kept herself distant. While Josephine was trotting the globe, retired boxer Jake Spear was living in the same small town as Lydia. There was nothing disguised about Jake. Including the fact he made a habit of making very bad decisions about who to give his love. But for Josephine and Jake, there was one person who adored them. One person who knew how to lead them to happiness. And one person who was intent on doing it. Even if she had to do it as her final wish on this earth.

Wow. Just wow!

This was a great story and the reader tells it well. Unfortunately I will never be able to recommend it to anyone due to the word fuck used hundreds of times, often when it didn't even make sense, and the x-rated sex.

I would love to read the entire series but won't for the same reasons. Too bad!

Too bad

The story was good but the use of the "F" word was just too much l... it was almost every other word, at lease Josie has a good vocabulary...

First of all the storyline was magnificent, I could not stop reading no matter how tired i became. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves a good strong love story.

It amazes me how Kristen Ashley keeps creating these compelling, insanely romantic books about characters who literally come to life on the pageI

Awesome read.

Language, explicit sex, same references to Josie's stomach, legs, wet between legs. Story line nice romance predictable end. All could have told Without Explicit Sex etc

Too much sameness.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Will to be better than the print version?

I love to read, but sometimes being able to do continue my work and listen to audible is wonderful. Better than listening to music.

If you’ve listened to books by Kristen Ashley before, how does this one compare?

This is my first Kristen Ashley book. I just ordered the sequel.

Have you listened to any of Hollis McCarthy’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

My first book performed by Hollis McCarthy.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The ability to forgive and move on.

Any additional comments?

I loved the story. But I do wish there weren't so much sexual description. I love sex, but it was a bit over the top.

Real life uncensored

If you could sum up The Will in three words, what would they be?

Good summer distraction

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator annoyed me a bit. Her inflections were off, her voice changes annoying

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

it kept me distracted when I needed to ... not think

Any additional comments?

not a terrible summer read. The characters were well developed.

Good story for mindless diversion

I didn't like the narrator at first because I was used to the narrators voice from some of Kristen Ashley's other books but then I realized that this narrators voice was more appropriate for the main character in this book.

Very sweet story!

The story was just too predictable, and the m@in character, Josie was in my opinion not believeable.

Hard to keep going.
