About this listen

When a team of commandos - highly skilled and armed to the teeth - tries to kidnap retired CIA station chief Linda Genneken from her home, trained marine Nathan McBride and his partner, Harvey Fontana, arrive just in time to join the fight. But their well-honed CIA instincts tell them this is only the beginning.

McBride and Fontana set out to learn who ordered the midnight raid and why. Is it connected to a rescue mission they conducted with Genneken in South America - a mission that nearly killed McBride? Is it related to the string of assassinations happening simultaneously in that area of the world? Or both?

With the help of their CIA contacts and aided by Genneken, the two men unravel a criminal plot with global implications. And as their race to find answers unspools in six supercharged hours, McBride and his team will be tested like never before.

More of the same

If you like action without a whole ton of plot development, this will be a good book for you. Most of the non-action plot is short and used to set up the overly long action segments. It's good as long as you keep that in mind.

Another great one

Would like to see another narrator. I like Dick Hill, just not for this book.

Fast paced, good read.

Story is paced well, great for long periods away from everything. Great narrator.

Classic Nathan McBride

Exciting story from start to finish. Enough detail to make it interesting and believable but not too much to make it boring.

Great follow up on the Nathan McBride series

At the end of the recording, Peterson talks about issues writing a series, having tor ehash history on characters and their relationship with others in the book, due to comments from selfish readers who apparently don't realize that each book must be capable of being a standalone novel. He's definitely mastered the art of the character flashback. Stellar job, Andrew!! Dick Hill adds a lot of value to the characters. Hill is among my top three or four readers.

The wait was worth it

This was another awesome book in the series! Action packed. Did not see the ending what so ever. You can read it out of order too!

Best series I have ever read and heard

The narrator has been the same for this series for every book. He has been fantastic. He makes the book come alive. The author of this book is an incredibly talented man. I have thoroughly enjoyed the series. It makes me appreciate those people that keep me safe. I have also been thoroughly entertained at the same tim. The vivid descriptions of the characters and events of this series Are what are you tribute to all my high praise. Thank you for your work

Purchase this audiobook at Amazon rather than...

... Audible. It costs $13.96 or one credit at Audible. The price for the Kindle and Audible versions combined is $8.48 at Amazon unless you are a Kindle Unlimited. With Kindle Unlimited you can borrow the Kindle version at no cost and purchase the Audible version for $3.49.

Right to Kill is a terrific espionage thriller. Nathan McBride and Harvey Fontana are the protagonists in this novel, but tough ex-CIA station chief Linda Genneken, usually called LG, plays a major protagonist role. Unlike the prior 5 novels in the Nathan McBride series, this superb thriller takes place entirely in the US. There is continuous action and sustained suspense starting with the first sentence of the novel in a truly great opening. Dick Hill narrates wonderfully. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Absolutely outstanding!!

If you could sum up Right to Kill in three words, what would they be?

I can't!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Very much so. I'm one that am always thinking ahead trying figure out what's about to happen. So I love it when the author goes a different direction that what seems obvious or just totally comes out of left field.

Which character – as performed by Dick Hill – was your favorite?

Always Nathan! Love Harvey but through this entire series Nathan personifies the hero figure...smart, tough, survivor, compassionate, moral, selfless, etc. I listen to a lot of audio books, mostly along the line of series like this or post apocalyptic survival series. Scott Harvath of Brad Thor's series and Mitch Rapp of the late Vince Flynn (Kyle Mills) along with Nathan McBride have been my three favorite characters. However, I believe that Nathan just took the lead with this book. Andrew is second to none in character development!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Without a doubt the last scene in the book, don't want to give it away. I had a feeling something was going to come out of that earlier encounter but had basically forgotten about it with all that took place after that. Absolutely incredible ending!!!

Any additional comments?

I understand the need to rehash Nathan's experiences in each book, so it doesn't bother me. This is a fantastic series. I just love that two ex-military bad asses use their skills and experiences to not just do good, but they do what they do with a conscience, and unwavering attempt to always do the most moral thing regardless of the almost impossible situations they find themselves in. Great story line and narration...again!!
