About this listen

A Gotrek & Felix Audiobook

When Gotrek and Felix race to the aid of the besieged dwarf city of Karak Kadrin, they are drawn into a war that threatens the entire Old World, and pitted against a foe who could be the one to fulfil an ancient prophecy.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

It's a timeless tale from the Gotrek and Felix archives that sees the intrepid adventurers battle against a warhost of Chaos that seeks nothing less than opening a rift into the heart of Chaos itself.

THE STORY

Gotrek and Felix: unsung heroes of the Empire, or nothing more than common thieves and murderers? The truth perhaps lies somewhere in between, and depends entirely upon whom you ask.

Gotrek and Felix race to the dwarf hold at Karak Kadrin, finding it besieged by one of the grand armies of Chaos under the command of Warlord Garmr. When King Ungrim Ironfist speaks of the legendary 'Road of Skulls' and of the hated foe's attempts to open a portal into the Realm of Chaos, Gotrek senses that a great doom awaits him – though it may not be the one he would choose for himself. As the king's own son leads his army of Slayers to fulfil an ancient prophecy, it seems that Garmr's hour of victory may be at hand.

Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Road!

Another great adventure of Gotrek and Felix, this series never ceases to bring me great joy and entertainment. Jonathan Keeble's performance is as stellar as ever and if ever Gotrek and Felix get a adaption, he should be the voice of them.

Love gotrek and Felix but….

I love all of the gotrek Felix audiobooks but I’m a little confused why this is number 12 in the series when it goes back 20 years, the storyline isn’t in order anymore. I’m hoping you guys fix that and yeah that’s all I got the only complaint I have can’t wait for the other ones to come out.

Great listen

Great continuation of the story with some expected changes. On the edge of my seat the whole time. Having had fought with the dwarf army in Warhammer Fantasy and knowing the stats for Gotrx and Felix as well as Iron Fist. Ungrim has some remarkable stats and shouldn’t be so easily bested in battle

Good story. Kinda confusing timeline

For anyone up to this point has listened to the Gotrik and Felix saga will kngounI found the story good but was lost for a minute where is left off from Zombieslayer. I am invested in the stories so found it hard to turn around again and go back 20 years.

overall the story was good but seemed to just be a short story compared to the long saga we have been on for 12 ppus novels. Would like to hear a conclusion to Snory Nosebiter in the future.

Still a good time.

The timeline shift aside, this is still a pretty good gotrek and felix novel, though from this point the series never again really reaches close to the heights it had. The storyline is pretty solid, and i quite like most of the characters on both sides of the fight, though i thought felix was a bit odd in this one considering the timeline.

Jonathan Keeble does an amazing job again, and i have to give extra praise to his voicing of the chaos dwarves. I was worried he would make them sound much like the regular dwarves he does so well, but i thought he nailed it as far as they are concerened.
Overall, still a good read and it maintains alot of the stuff that makes gotrek and felix great but you can tel that shifting the timelines around like this was never really in the plans.

Brutal but good.

Very compelling story with a lot of great parts and brutality engrossed in it. An absolute war fantasy that cannot be replicated.

Where is Snorri?

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. There was lots of gory action and excellent world building, but where was Snorri Nosebiter!?

At the end of zombie slayer, the guys were on their way to Karak Kadrin so that Snorri could pray at the altar of Grimnier to regain his memories so he could regain his doom. Snorri was only mentioned once in passing in the entire book.

Also, we're introduced to four primary villains, and given hardly any background information on them. It's like we were already supposed to know who these villains were from previous books, but none of them have been mentioned before.

Lastly, there's no mention of Kat whatsoever in the entire book. If I remember correctly, she was accompanying the guys to Karak Kadrin at the end of zombie slayer.

It seems like this book actually takes place sometimes earlier in the series, rather than where it is listed in Audible.
