About this listen

Caitlin Strange's adventures continue. The former college student with the powers of a goddes and her motley band of heroes and immortals travel to the lands of the Tenochca, ruled by bloodthirsty Aztec gods. They must brave the Forbidden Jungle, a massive Labyrinth holding the treasures of the Tenochca. But the gods control the Labyrinth, and they have twisted normal dungeon rules to ensure no thief survives long enough to claim their loot.

This book contains plenty of action, GameLit elements, no harem or adult content. Some PG-13 language.

There were far fewer “stats” in this book, and as every gamer knows they are important! If you like Litrpg, then you need to know what the MC did or did not gain! It would be a stupid MC to keep killing little spiders (no offense to Purr) if you don’t get any points from them. So it’s not something you need every second, I like to know how the character’s are going and what level they have reached. I think the first book was “stat heavy” but I didn’t think so in this one (I read the second series first and the Author was less heavy on stats after the first book on those.) In this book on the other hand I thought the balance was more important, since one character was not the same as others. I am trying to not spoil anything!
Anyway, as to other people’s opinions on numbers, if you’re not at all interested in numbers than why are you a player? I have read books in this genre that I felt were padded with stats. Stats for each player every time they moved, for instance, now that’s numbers! This was not too heavy on the stats, but likely the next book will have less. I was really loving the strong, smart female characters, and I loved the goblin!! I especially liked the inclusion of the characters who were not originally involved…with the ’names’ from television which is not the way to go with a name you have to use every day. It makes me not regret the character names I use! I’m glad I didn’t name any after, say, muppets ! I did find the end a bit abrupt, but the story was wrapped up, so ok. All in all this is one of the more interesting litrpg novels that I’ve read, especially with women characters!! So if you don’t mind occasionally reading the stats, so you know the characters are developing, than spend the credits! I’m such a fan of this author, he’s written in every genre! (I loved his horror novels but I understand why some people wouldn’t). My favorite was the possibly his Warp Marines but he hasn’t stopped writing yet!

I really like this-strong females and they can fight too!

Too many numbers, it detracts from the story too much. find something else if you want to actually enjoy something.
