About this listen

Caitlin Sera sat down to play a game, but instead, found herself in a world of magic and monsters.

Even worse, her first encounter was with an evil goddess seeking to feed on her soul. Courage - and more than a little luck - led to Caitlin not only surviving, but walking away with a God Core.

Now, she has to wander a new world with a few new friends by her side, just trying to survive. She is not playing in God Mode, but thanks to her new abilities, she's seeing how well she can do in Godkiller Mode. If she can master the God Core, Caitlin will be unstoppable - but her enemies will do everything they can to ensure she won't live that long.

Note: Godkiller Mode is a LitRPG/Gamelit high-fantasy novel. No harems or sexual content, just action and adventure. There is some adult language and situations, but nothing beyond PG-13.

Good story with an excellent narrator!

I really enjoyed this Litrpg. It was a different take on being abducted and taken to another land trope. The story progressed well. Plenty of action throughout.
The Narration was great! Her range of voices was really impressive. She really took the story to another level in my opinion.
I hope to hear more from this narrator in the litrpg genre.
Looking forward to book 2 as well.

Very good

While the story has the game tropes, it has some diferences such as every adventurer, NPC or not also levels up so the gamer doesn't have as big an advantage. That is a great change and I recommend this.

Good read/listen.

Good read, great narration. I am glad that we have more strong female protagonists coming out in fantasy. MC embraces her situation better than most probably would.

great sub series

I was skeptical but I was not disappointed. this was well done and didn't interfere with the primary plot for EJO. although it is possible the two storylines may interact at some point.

this story actually feels like it is going somewhere. moving past the first realm which is nice.

Level up

Caitlin get sucked into a real-life game ala Jumanji. By luck she kills a "goddess" and take over her powers. As she learns to use her new powers, she also gains some friends, and they become a team. This is the story of that team going through the various levels, killing all sorts of deadly creatures, and other gaming foes. The book is in full LitRPG Mode. The story is good and the characters well-developed, but you have wade through a LOT of stats and rules.

It was great but...

I enjoyed the story and that character except for a few moment that made me facepalm, Like using "mansplain" at some point or expecting all men around to stare at her butt and call it "male gaze" ,
So much of this it so unneeded.
Like the "mansplain" moment was about a group of people in a new world scared of monsters and not wanting to fight so they were coming up with excuses not to do so.

Exceedingly Average

Gamer girl gets sucked into a video game for inadequately explained reasons, is given powers greater than most of the other people around her, joins a group of adventurers, and goes delving in "dungeons" with them. Sound familiar? If you really like the gamelit genre and enjoy listening to endless rules and character stats being read to you, then this is not a bad book, just not great. I did find the main character interesting, along with her powers, but everything else was rather bland. If you are looking for an actual good book though, this is not it.
