About this listen

New York Times and USA Today best-selling authors Tessa Dare and Christi Caldwell come together in this smart, sexy, not-to-be-missed Regency Duet!

His Bride for the Taking: It's the first rule of friendship among gentlemen: Don't even think about touching your best friend's sister. But Sebastian, Lord Byrne, has never been one for rules. He's thought about touching Mary Clayton - a lot - and struggled to resist temptation. But when Mary's bridegroom leaves her waiting at the altar, only Sebastian can save her from ruin. By marrying her himself.

His Duchess for a Day: It was never meant to be... That's what Elizabeth Terry has told herself while trying to forget the man she married - her once best friend. Passing herself off as a widow, Elizabeth has since built a life for herself as an instructor at a finishing school, far away from that greatest of mistakes. But the past has a way of finding you, and now that her husband has found her, Elizabeth must face the man she's tried to forget.

Both stories are quite enjoyable. The narration by Justine Eyre is perfect. These short stories are of admitting love that has been held in check since youth by both the lord and his lady.

Two lovely stories

Both stories were enjoyable, although shorter than I would have liked. I really enjoyed both stories and definitely recommend.

Loved both stories.

Two cute short stories. Fun storylines & likable characters. Great for a quick listen while working around the house.

Two sweet romances built on failures to communicate.

His Bride for the Taking 2 hrs - While not quite as fun or exuberant as her Wallflower Wager, the shortness provided a few chuckles and a decent story.

His Duchess for a Day 5 hrs - if it had been any longer, I wouldn’t have forgiven the silliness of a booksmart woman, unafraid to set out on her own, nonetheless storming out without confronting her longtime childhood best friend about his reasons for their marriage. As it was, it was fine.

Not sure what made them rogues

I love Tessa Dare
not a fan of C.Callwald only because I dislike all the time time spent in mental dialogue. Half of the second story is spent repeating basically the same sentiment. It was a decent story once boy and girl get on their way .

T.Dare #1

These books were so refreshing & creative by the author, only problem, not long enough, loved the characters.

LOVED THESR ORIGINAL STORIES

His Bride for the Taking: When Sebastian, Lord Byrne begins distancing himself from his childhood friend’s sister, Mary Clayton takes matters into her own hands. After being left at the altar, Mary has no choice but to marry her brother’s best friend. This friends-to-lovers story has a lot of twists and turns. I loved it and found Mary to be a strong and capable female who knows how to manipulate life’s events to make the most of it. She is the type of woman who works to make the world fit her needs. A smart woman is a force of nature.

His Duchess for a Day: Some mistakes are worth repeating. Though Elizabeth Terry isn’t so sure she agrees when her husband finds her at a finishing school for young ladies. When he convinces her to return for a day to put marriage-minded mamas in their place, they are faced with the past and have to decide if they can keep from making the same mistakes twice.

Two Great Stories

Thank you! I really enjoyed the short, funny, wicked and sweet story with awesome narrator!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The four stars is because I did not care for the second story. It’s difficult to follow a story that hops from past to present from sentence to sentence.
I was actually impressed with how well the first story developed. Although it was short, it’s content was not.

First one good
