Voodoo on the Choo Choo

Picks up just after the last stand in Murfreesboro, Tenn., The train left Murfreesboro with many survivors, but many did not make the train, John and Rachael left in an ambulance along with Dog. They are now trying to make it to Nashville to catch another train - the last train out of state crossing the Mississippi River. All the vehicle bridges across the River have been destroyed. As in the previous books, John and Rachael have the absolute worst luck in the world, but they also have miraculous escapes from sure death. I do wish everything was not so hard for them. I wish just a couple of their plans would work out and not go so badly. That is probably my biggest complaint about the series, because I am truly addicted to Voodoo Plague and cannot stop listening. I just get frustrated when things always go so badly.

This book mostly takes place on a train, and there is quite a bit of action. Lt. Roach from the Air Force Base reemerges, and he is a very bad guy. Things get complicated between Rachael and John. The book ends abruptly and I am purchasing three more credits so that I can go forward with the story. It is so very good!!! Dog is my favorite characters, but there are many really likable characters in the series. I highly recommend.

Awesome

I just love this series! Love the different approach on zombies not only how they were made but how they behave. Come on we all know women are more intelligent then men and this series proves it. Lol 😆

Books are to short!!!

The storyline is awesome and the narration is great! My only complaint is that the books need a few more hours each. I understand it takes a lot of work to write and produce these stories but they seem to be shorter than other apocalyptic books! It was my only holdup from purchasing them. Once I started I was hooked. This may be the case for others.

Nail biting

Incredibly exciting. Naration is excellent. I cannot wait for the next installment!!!!!!!!
I have read all the novels but, even though I know what is coming, listening to the story unfold is even more exciting.

Excellent series

AMAZING story, great flow and world building. Non stop action and John Chase is bad in the best way. Love this series, narration was excellent.

Worth gettin' ripped off!

Usually I refuse to get roped into buying these books which are actually just portions of books broken into as many sections as they can to get your max $$ but this one was actually worth it. This book has everything Z fiction should have and is quite refreshing considering all the lameass garbage I've wasted my hard earned credits on. I would have much more respect for the author, Audible or the editor if they could tell the difference between a sequel and a set of chapters that end abruptly and simply end (or leave off) a book where it is supposed to. Good listen.

Patton. Kafer. The perfect storm!

Love, love, love this series. I can’t believe it doesn’t have more followers! The only way you can find this book,is by looking up V plague or the author’s name. I couldn’t find it under Apocalypse or Zombie Apocalypse or zombies or you get the picture. I bought the first book when it was on sale many years ago. Since then I’ve listened to over a 100 zombie books, I love this genre. About every two years I listen to this series from beginning to end and I can truly say it’s one of my very favorite. There are so many zombie books that have thousands of listeners, that are so generic. Tons of fighting without much stories or horrible bad guys Usually slavers and no zombies. You get the idea. Dirk Patton has a great imagination, the story is taking you from one state to another fighting zombies. The protagonists,a retired special ops guy, a female med student and a dog named Dog. I love Dog, he’s always saving their butts. Actually they are saving each other’s butts ,one crazy situation after another. Nonstop story, action, awesome characters. Love this narrator, he is a perfect spec ops dud. His voice is made for this series. I can’t say enough good things about these books. If you love this genre, Get the whole series, every book is great.

Good, BUT....chopped off the ending

This is a good series so far, but the length of each book is aggravating. For me it's about value per credit, and why I usually avoid series with short incomplete books/volumes. This book (book 3) abruptly ends in the middle of a scene. There are 15 books so far and the audio production has a long way to go before it catches up with the series. It really frustrates me when a series is cut up this way. At least end the book at an actual stoping point. It can't be that hard to complete each story. If I'm wrong and this is an issue, then why not combine every 2 books or so, or sell the audiobooks as a box set? After all, the books have already been written.
