About this listen

A vicious storm
A small town
A killer looking to settle old scores

Steve Kane has spent the last seven years trying to forget the events of Millners Kill. His brother is safely locked away. He has a job, a wife, a daughter, friends, and a life that years earlier seemed impossible.

But nothing stays safe forever.

Another storm is moving in. And this one places all those he loves in its path.

No one is protected. No one is safe. Because the wounds of Millners Kill run deeper than ever.

The story was interesting. However the virtual voice is a terrible experience. No inflection, flat, annoying. I almost quit several times. I don’t know whose choice it was to use the technique, but I vote no. Part of listening to audiobooks is hearing favorite readers.

Good story. Unimpressive reader

Too bad we’ve come to computer narration. It’s a terrible listening experience. I’m glad I didn’t pay for this.

Awful narration. Good story.

The story was good, but virtual voice is very flat. No emotion. Sometimes you can’t tell when one sentence ends in another one begins overall, the story was pretty good.

Not liking the virtual voice

The story was eh…predictable. The virtual voice was impressive as it sounded human, but…no inflection or emotion. I may have liked the story better if it was narrated by a human.

Eh…glad it was free
