About this listen

They couldn’t afford a ship or a fleet...and now they have a whole system to defend!

Harmon Tomeral, along with friends Clip, Zerith, and the artificial intelligence Jayneen, were heroes. They’d brought back the battlecruiser Salvage Title from an unknown system and had defeated the alien Squilla and saved their home system of Tretrayon, not once, but twice.

But now they have a system of their own, and the Bith are about to open it up to the galaxy at large.

With two habitable planets, there is sure to be...interest...in the system, and other alien races are already looking to see what can be “acquired” from it. There’s also the matter of the people who Harmon has bested, who are looking forward to paying him back for those defeats.

The Belvakett are coming, led by Harmon’s enemies Grant Lowantha and Jifton Gregor, and they want Harmon Tomeral dead! But Harmon has a plan - there are as many races who like him as hate him, and if he’s able to marshal all of their forces, maybe - just maybe - he’ll be able to defend the system.

But what if they don’t get there in time?

An explosive conclusion, with the promise of more!

My ride through the Salvage Title Trilogy has been a fast and fun one. Kevin Steverson knows how to weave a yarn or three and keep one entertained through action and introspective scenes alike. Space battle scenes, ship boarding actions, and planetary assaults all make an appearance in the final book of the Salvage Title Trilogy.

Harmon, the Salvage Title crew, and the allies he's gathered about him have the chance to colonize an entire star system, and they arrive before its coordinates are made public. They marshal their forces and fortify the star system to protect it from the landgrabbers they know are coming, and the landgrabbers do not disappoint. But, while new enemies show up, new allies make an appearance, and Harmon and his fleet have the chance to be the heroes again in a neighboring system. I can't write any more without major spoilers, but let's just say it is well worth the time to give this a listen or a read.

KC Johnston reprises his role as the book's narrator, and he is spot on as always. Each character and each race has its own distinctive voice and style. How he keeps them all consistent is beyond me, but he really brings the whole universe to life with his performance. Looking forward to hearing more books by him, and reading more from Kevin Steverson!

We Salvaged it--it's ours now!

This is a fun series. I'm really enjoying it. Though, I wish there was more details pointing to the Space Opposoms that I loved from the beginning. They're there, but now there's so much going on, it doesn't point out to them like it did. The narrator for this series is fantastic, and the story is a lot of fun as they discover an entire system that they claim as Salvage, and they begin to populate it with several species and develop its worth in trade. With as many characters this series has, it's a little hard to keep up with them all after the first book, but it's great fun, great humor, and a fantastic narrator!

Nice finish

I enjoyed the story and liked the easy it ended. The narration was on if a little stilted.

Full bore combat

This book ends the Salvage Title Trilogy. It involves issues that arise when the group start to settle into their new home. It includes an attempt by an old adversary who wish to take their system from them. Then they work through the integration of many new races who join them. Thrown into this is the need to help others overcome similar issues within their own home systems.

The amount of military activity is immense and is never dull. The personal interplay between the groups is also fascinating.

The narrator does an outstanding job both with the number of voices for characters; but the ability to make those characters express emotion.

Exciting, never a dull moment.

I really enjoyed the Salvage System Series so far. I’ve read the first three books haven’t looked but hope there will be more. Enjoy the interaction of each character, which there are many. No nasty language, for me that is good.
