About this listen

He’s my ex’s brother. A terrifying mob boss with a past too dark to share. And when he finds out I’m pregnant, he becomes something else, too: the husband I never asked for.

Kolya Uvarov crashed into my life at a funeral and saved me from a mega-creep

Classic meet-cute, right?

Not exactly, because it was his brother we were burying.

AKA my ex-boyfriend.

AKA the man who hit me, stormed out the door, then died in a car crash before I could ever tell him about our baby.

But Kolya knows the secrets I’m hiding.

Kolya has a plan for how to handle them.

And Kolya just leaned down smelling like vanilla and sin and whispered seven little words in my ear: From now on, you belong to me.

Sapphire Scars is the first audiobook in the Uvarov Bratva duet. Kolya and June’s story continues in book 2, Sapphire Tears.

Boring

I don't think I've ever been so bored with a book in a long time.

Mafia, Vanilla - no kink

The story was average. Im not sure exactly what I was expecting but not what I got. MMC is head of his mafia world but hes not dominant, hes just meh is what it is. FMC was over 21 which was fantastic, but the "abuse" was from her ex not current, so its all revisited in her head. I'm not really sure I'll read the next one or not, but I wont be right not for sure.

Low Spice Slowburning Cliffhanger

the first few chapters were okay but it quickly slowed down and lasted forever. The audio chapters seemed misaligned with the book chapters and now I have to decide if I shoukd gamble on book 2. Even the action pieces seemed slow. And the h just seemed to continuebto make stupid choices. Her personality was so up and down.

Narrator/story sucks

I’m not sure if it’s the tires or the narrators voice but I didn’t make it past the second chapter and removed the book. The main character sound stupid with the stuff that comes out of her mouth.

Narration spoils it

The story is good, but the narration voices do not fit the characters. The male narration sounds like it’s from virtual voice.

What am I Listening to?

Chapters are missing/out of order. It's very confusing. The FMC is weak and annoying. I can't even get to the end of book one, as I am lost due to the missing section.

it wasn't a complete story

Have to have book 2 also, if you want the whole story. The writing stalled in spots foe me making it hard to finish. Then when I did reach the end there was no resolution to anything! Just don't care enough about the characters or story line to pay for book 2.

Needs re-editing/Missing audiobook chapters

Some of the chapters are missing. I pulled up the book to compare. It’s normal for book chapters and audiobook chapters to be off by one (because of the opening credits etc.) but the books chapter 28 should have played after the audiobook’s chapter 23, but it skips to the book’s chapter 29. Which means that I missed other audiobook chapters too. I’ve removed/redownloaded this a few times but it’s still missing chapters.
