I really loved this book. Sara's first mate was abusive and she killed him in self defense. Then she was shunned by her pride in such a way that no shifters were comfortable with her around. Her life was miserable with the only bright light being her daughter. Then she met her one true mate and got her HEA.

This is a great book.
It has old school punishment that needs to be fixed, but Sara has a hard time understanding that she may be worth of help, love, and friends.

Good story, likeable characters. This author is good, but I wish she would quit using taunt in place of taut in her books. Close spelling Abigail, but the meaning is worlds away.

Really enjoyed listening to Sara's Dark Secret, a heartbreaking romantic single mom romance. Sara is a single widowed mother, that was exiled from her lion shifter community for killing her mate(self-defense). She arrive home and found an eviction notice on her apartment door. She takes her baby for a walk and ends up at the park, that is where she meets Dylan. He is so nice and passionate to her, where the other lion shifters are mean to her. Couldn't stop listening to the audiobook until finished. Highly reccomend

This is a sweet story about trust and love. Sara has a painful past but she is doing everything she can to survive but her previous pride not only kicked her out they cursed her as well. When Sara comes to St. Dominic, she goes through the same issues but along comes Dylan an alpha who does not hate her. Can Sara trust in Dylan or will he be like everyone else?
Sara and Dylan’s story moves along quickly. Trust is earned and emotions come into play. While there are some hot and heavy scenes this story feels more like young adult for me. The characters are young and it shows. It was nice to see the strength of the bond between the characters and how much they are willing to help each other. Narrator Ann Russek moves the story along but I was not fond of some of the voices used.
