Publisher's summary

Thirty-something writer Regina lives in Harlem with her four-year-old daughter. And no matter what she does, drama follows her wherever she goes. Her world is thrown for a loop when shady Little Joe re-enters her life looking for some action. Unfortunately, her lingering feelings for her congressman ex-husband aren't helping either.

But Regina's not the only one with issues. Her best friends Tamika, Yvonne, and Puddin' are all dealing with no-account men of their own. Drawing strength from one another, these four women keep it real on the streets of New York City.

Sassy and endearing, the spirited women of Satin Nights stick together through thick and thin.

Another complete story

Karen delivers a complete store for her readers! As much as I hate to admit it, people who use drugs and curse like sailors are the majority. Karen gave me a peak into their minds..real people with jacked up lives. I would have liked to know more about why "Pudding" is the way she is. Unlike "Using What You Got" by Karen, this one has nice and steamy love scenes although few in number. WARNING: No virgin ears should hear this book. Very ripe.

It is ok

This is an ok story, but on some of the characters you would have liked to no more about them. Regina is the main character, but she leaves something to be desired.

Much ado about nothing

At 8 hours, this book is about 4 hours too long. Unabridged shouldn't be an excuse for needless details. And what's up with most of the characters' history with drugs? Is that what the author means about "keeping it real?" And if I EVER hear the phrases "get the f*ck outta here" or "sucking her teeth" again, it will be too soon for me! It was hard to care about what happened to any of the characters. In summary, heavy on drama, light on substance.
