Publisher's summary

Boys want attention. Men want respect. Legends just don’t care....

Nate Temple is finally taking some time off to appreciate the finer things in life...like his new Valkyrie, Kára. But their weeks of romance come to a swift and lethal end when assassins invade the sanctity of Chateau Falco.

Not only that, but Nate finds himself neck-deep in politics when he is framed for murdering one of the most notorious Academy justices to ever walk the Earth, and the legendary suits of magical armor belonging to Camelot are suddenly up for grabs.

New faces - both good and bad - step into the game, and Nate soon finds himself at the center of a vortex of chaos leading to war in Camelot with the fae queens, on Earth with the Academy wizards, and potentially in Asgard with the Norse pantheon.

The more chaotic things get, the more certain Nate becomes that the Masters are finally starting to make their moves out in the open, no longer content to hide in the shadows. They want to force Nate to act....

And they might not live to regret his decision to agree.

Because only a savage beast of a man could believe that personally kicking off the wars - all at the same time - is the safest course of action. Will he reconsider the wisdom of that decision when it finally brings him face-to-face with one of the Masters - the very person behind all the chaos in the first place?

Especially when he learns that this chaos is only the opening move in their grand game of death, and that his foe has been practicing for many, many years for this precise moment. The chance to defeat Nate Temple, once and for all.

"Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt." (Sun Tzu)

If you like Jim Butcher, Kevin Hearne, Steve McHugh, Michael Anderle, Ilona Andrews, Patricia Briggs, Shannon Mayer, or K. F. Breene, you won't be able to put down the worldwide best-selling Nate Temple series, or anything else in the Temple Verse.

The Thing About Magic

The thing about magic is that you can do just about anything, with anybody, from any time.
Let your imagination run Wylde with Silvers. He stretched the Suspension Bridge of Disbelief to its limits, and it still works.
I can't wait for the next one.

Nate Temple is up to neck, and handling all

Nate is resolving several storylines in this book as new ones are created. One plot twist near the end comes out of the blue, one is hinted at mid way through the book if you can pick up on it, and the other plot twist is just sitting there throughout the book but clever writing misdirects the reader until the final reveal. Shayne Silvers is a bit formulaic but but remains interesting with creative storylines and twists. I do wish somebody else read these stories for Audible. This guy is adequate but is very dry.

SUPPER GOATS....

I don't know why it is but I will tell you one thing I love these books it's a combination of the story itself and the storyteller who tells it this has got to be the most addicting series I've come across in a long time there's probably three other series that I reread regularly but this is one of them.

O.M.G

Oh my ( the ) goats is the funniest thing I have heard in awhile . Shayne is getting more into a mature rating in this book so be cautious who you have in the car with this one . But the cliff hanger will leave you wanting to listen to the next one !

Exceptional

Shayne Silver is excellent at least in the Temple Universe.
I like how he doesn't keep the books with the same old plots and how he throws 1 or more different curve balls into the story.

The Temple Universe series is just as good as The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher which is a lot to say.

I highly recommend both series

A great continuation

Long running series tend to start getting muddled up in characters, plot twists, predictability, and the like. This story melds well with previous books and continues to tie up unanswered questions while simultaneously opening up new possibilities.

Best yet in the series!

The Templeverse has definitely taken over as my favorite urban fantasy series. So many series writers of this genre have put out mediocre books in their latest installments. Almost like they are no longer interested in their characters or plot lines anymore. Not Shayne Silvers! His books just keep getting better and better, and the plot twists are awesome! Although I feel like there is no way this book was 14+ hours long it went by so quickly.
