Publisher's summary

From best-selling author Xavier Neal comes a brand-new, laugh-out-loud, paranormal romance you don't want to miss....

I swear, one minute I'm dozing off during the night shift—don't judge me—and the next I'm being told I'm Fate Mated to an ancient dragon.

An ancient dragon I couldn't help but save when he woke me up out of the aforementioned slumber—again, don't judge me.

Now this same ancient dragon—that I'm apparently destined to be with—is doing everything he can to win me over, because it's up to me whether or not he'll live the rest of his life in absolute agony or absolute bliss.

Oh, and let's not forget the fact we're being chased by elves, working with a grumpy Griffin, and have to rescue some poor kidnapped dragon before an evil corporation kills it.

Ugh.

Any chance this is all some crazy dream that I can't wake up from?

No?

Well, can't blame this human for asking.

Fated Mate

Saving SIlver is the first story I've read by this author and I can say I'm glad that the summary was interesting enough to tempt me. I found this one to be a nice typical fated mate story. It did not disappoint and why the romance was predictable it was well done! I would give this author another go!

Zilveran and Adae

Saving Siver by Xaiver Neal | 4 Maple Leafs

Zilveran is not expecting to meet his fated mate when he stumbles into a veterinarian clinic to have bullets removed from him. Adae can not believe that dragons are real and that she can actually be with one.

I enjoyed this story as a whole. My favourite was the banter between Z and his inner dragon Silver. There were parts in the story that seemed more like a textbook than a romance book. Not sure if that was the writing or the way it was narrated. I am interested to see where this series goes.

This was my first experience with both Oliver Highpoint and Mooreghan Martin. They both did a decent job with narrating and I would give them both another listen.

Saving Silver is the first book in The Draak Legacy series and contains paranormal, shifter (dragons), fated mates romance and told in the dual first-person point of view.

Filled with action and fun!

What a surprise! I mean I love shifter stories already and this one was a delight to listen to. Very imaginative world! I love all the creative ways certain aspects are depicted. The nicknames, the creatures and all the action certainly give this one a leg up. I really enjoyed meeting Z and brother and brethren. They have a good sense of humor and the way they act with each other make this fun for the listener.

I did listen to this on audio. Moorghan Martin and Oliver Highpoint are the narrators and do a wonderful job bringing these characters to life! I look forward to more in this series!

Saving Silver

Saving Silver is the first book in The Draak Legacy series. This book is told from dual points of view by Zilveren (Z) and Adae.

Adae is a vet and one night when she's sleeping Z shows up and needs her help getting a bullet out of him. Z is a dragon shifter and Silver is his dragon. Adae can't believe what she saw, but when she's fated to Z, he ends up taking her to figure out their future.

This book had me laughing from the beginning. I love the banter between Z and Silver (his inner dragon). Z will be doing things and Silver just pops up and saws what he wants. Adae learns about Z and his dragon.

There is someone out there hurting dragons. Can Z and Adae figure out who is hurting them before anyone else is hurt? Will their relationship grow? Or will the fact Z is a dragon turn Adae away?

I'm not a huge paranormal fan, however, I loved this audiobook, and couldn't stop listening. The narrators really brought the story to life, and I'm hooked. I can't wait to see what happens next!

A fun, hot multicultural PNR

A fun and multicultural paranormal romance

4 stars overall, 4 stars story, 4 stars narration

This is an enjoyable steamy paranormal romance.  It’s short, about 5 hours long.  The romance is completed in this novella, and the next couple’s romance is set up (an M/M couple who sound interesting), along with a continuing storyline about villains kidnapping paranormal people.  The lovable heroine is a human African American veterinarian with a positive attitude.  I love her practical attitude and her expertise in her career.  The dragon-shifter guy, Zilverin Draak, acts like a rich white guy.  In his family business, he designs expensive watches.  I sometimes laughed at the funny dialogue in the book, especially at the genie butler.  Also, the love scenes were totally hot and not too frequent.

The story is fun, but it doesn’t have much substance.  The only obstacle during the romance is the guy not paying attention to what the lady would like him to do.  This is the kind of simple dating problem that people have as teenagers.  Also, while I liked the world-building with a variety of genies, shifters, and other paranormal people; the kidnapping villain plot has been done so many times before.  The plot is very trite and dumb.  In addition, Zilverin’s annoying brother is an immature player with the most stupid, unfunny dialogue.

The pair of narrators each did a very good job.  Mooreghan Martin is the female narrator, and I love her voice for the heroine.  She has excellent comic timing and is really good at male and female voices.  I just didn’t like how she made the hero sound distinctly African American when he was not.  She did not come close to matching the amazing voice for Zilverin created by the male narrator, Oliver Highpoint.  I thought Oliver Highpoint did an all-around amazing job; he has such a sexy voice. Both narrators were wonderful in the love scenes.

Entertaining, hilarious, sweet and sexy!

I read it and enjoyed it. The audiobook version is great. This is the first book in The Draak Legacy Series, a Paranormal Romantic Comedy. Zilveren and Adae's story is entertaining, hilarious, sexy, sweet, and heartwarming. I loved the characters, the humor, the suspense, and the action. The world building is original and intriguing. Mooreghan Martin and Oliver Highpoint did a great job with the narration. Looking forward to listening to the next book in the Series. #TheFlock

Saving Silver

This is the first book in The Draak Legacy series. This is a dragon, fated mate series. I really enjoyed how the Awakened (supernatural beings) call the humans “Sleepers”. I can’t wait to see where this series is headed. Oliver Highpoint and Mooreghan Martin did a great job narrating this book.

The patience of a Saint

Overall the story was entertaining. I really like Z, he was so patient and giving. The narration was good it kept me focused on the story. Just enough action and the characters were funny and likable. I want to see the brothers fall fast and hard next!

Paranormal Romance

Saving Silver by Xavier Neal is a paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Oliver Highpoint and Mooreghan Martin. This is the first book in The Draak Legacy series.

I liked that Zilveren and Adae had an instant connection being fated mates, but they took the time to get to know each other before completing the bond. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book.

Oliver and Mooreghan did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
