About this listen

From USA Today best-selling authors Xavier Neal comes a brand-new smoking-hot age-gap romance that you don't want to miss!

Waiting.

As in wey-ting.

As in a verb.

As in a synonym for anticipating.

As in the very thing I didn't realize I was doing for a man 10 years younger than me....

I loved Harper and Tate’s relationship from the start. It is an older woman, younger man romance and I loved how confident Tate was and how Harper could be more herself around him. These two are supportive of each other and I adored how well they communicated. I couldn’t stop this one once I started it. Beautiful storyline and narration.  5 ⭐️ from me!!!

Beautiful Story!

I enjoyed Tate and Harper as a couple. A reverse age gap(older woman/younger man) with typical insecurities. The age difference of 10 years didn’t really play a significant role. Harper had a few instances of insecurity. They didn’t cause drama in the relationship. It was more of Tate feeling insecure because he didn’t think he could provide for Harper and any future kids they would have. They were at different stages in their career. It made him overly jealous and possessive.
Steamy scenes, fun dialogue and side characters that add laughter and love made this a very entertaining story

Xavier Neal brings fun, steam, family to this age gap story. Harper has her insecurities, she's older, not perky, Will Tate still be interested in her as she ages?
Oh Tate, Had me swooning, he is tender, deeply loves, and cherishes Harper. He never forgets to let her know how much he loves her.
Charlie L. Wood and Christian Leatherman are very good narrators. Their narration brings the characters to life. Thank you for a very good listen.

Waiting is an age gap between Tate and Harper. Harper is recently out of a long relationship, and when she returns to a restaurant that she used to go to with her husband, Tate is her server.

Tate starts flirting with her. However, she believes she's too old for him. They start to hang out, and she realizes he treats her better than anyone else ever has.

As Tate and Harper's relationship grows, they each have their own doubts. What happens when their pasts come up? Can they get past the hurdles? Can they get their happy ending?

I enjoyed listening to this. Tate and Harper both grew with each other. I could feel their emotions while listening. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a fast nice listen.

The story was nice; showing the things that cross the mind of the characters when in this type of relationship were realistic. The narrators did a great job with characters; loved the dialogue and different languages. The emotions were a bit on the rushed side. The ending was a bit graphic and TMI; but the book was entertaining for the most part.

Cute story

Wow chef’s kiss 💋! I love this book. Harper is an independent woman that is trying to get back in the dating game after divorce. It’s been two years and she wants to find someone to spend her life with. Tate has been attracted to Harper ever since she and her ex-husband started dinning at the restaurant he worked. Now seeing Harper there by herself and finding out she has been divorced for several years, he finally makes his move. Harper is hesitant to date Tate because he is ten years younger. Charlie L Wood and Christian Leatherman did a phenomenal job narrating this book.

I really enjoyed this reverse age gap romance. Harper and Tate are great together!! Tate is so sweet, I loved the way he was with Harper. These two went through a few bumps on their way to HEA, but it was wonderful to see the way their navigated the rough spots. This story is fun, entertaining, short and sweet. Definitely worth the read!!

Charlie L. Wood and Christian Leatherman did a great job bringing this story to life. I loved Christian's accents throughout!

This was such a fun and beautiful romance listen. Our main characters are Harper and Tate. Harper is more established in life and while divorced is still friends with her ex. Tate has crushed on Harper since he first laid eyes on her but valued the establishment of marriage (love this about him and appreciate this value in the read). He gets his opportunity when he sees Harper on a date and knows he has to take his chance. They click instantly and while Harper tried to make the age thing a thing - she just can't. While both have some growing up to do which is addressed their issues are the same that any other couple could and do have. I adore the family values that Tate has and his family characters that are introduced. I burst out laughing at the how many babies talk they had - SO funny! And the dual narration was SO good! Accents and foreign language was perfectly done - I didn't feel lost in the least! Smooth flowing storyline that was easy to follow with just enough angst and a perfect HEA - I loved this read!

This book was super cute and had nice spice.

It was a little on the instalove side which is what took away some for me on the story side. I did enjoy. the characters and their development. The FMC had a hard time wrapping her head around the fact that the 25 yr old MMC would really be interested in her because of her age being 35 yrs old. The MMC had some jealously of the fact that her ex husband was a successful doctor and they were still friends. So they both struggled with getting over their insecurities and letting their relationship be based on trust and love. The story was sweet and the narration was good. I loved the cultural ties in the story and the love for Elvis. I would recommend this book to my friends!

Sooooo....
This book was really unexpected and I'll tell you why...
As a reverse age gap, I was honestly wishing for a different point of conflict than the ones that authors usually uses for this trope... I was unlucky on this one, and that disappointment is on me... I shouldn't have been expecting anything other than a good time.

To be fair, after a couple of hours, it was really a good time. I'm not gonna lie, I've listened the first 3 chapters twice, cause I was pretty sure that I was missing something. The story starts as if it was already in the middle. There's no background to their "connection" other than the mention that he works at her favorite restaurant, and remembers her choice of drink and food, even if she's not been there for about 2 years. The start of the book is kinda of like a bad porn, with him hitting hard on her and she crossing her legs to "alleviate" the aftermath of his advances.

It was from zero to a thousand in the span of 3 chapters, with them already in love, banging, and he wanting her to carry his children. So it was insta love, insta lust and insta everything since chapter one.

But after the initial shock, I was pleased with how the story developed, again if we remove my disappointments with the point of conflict being about her age, or his immature jealousy of her successful ex, the story was entertaining.

She was a loner and he had a big family to offer. One third of the book is about Elvis or the same thing in three different languages.
And despite all my ramblings here, it was a good time.

I'll attribute it to the great narration.
Tate was an Irish/Dominican/American (I think?) and whatever more was thrown in the mix, so he had an accent that sounded really good on the audiobook!

If you're into fast stories that are borderlining on erotica, I'm pretty sure, you'll love this one!

Not exactly what I was expecting...
