Siobhan Davis pens another amazing novel set in her Mazzone Mafia world, the third and final book of the series. I have been loving this series, the mafia world she created and world building is phenomenal. The characters are easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to care about too. This book is Serena and Alessandro’s story, Serena’s father forced her into an arranged marriage with one of his mafia cronies, Alfredo, an evil man twice her age who made her life a living nightmare. Both her father and her husband are gone, and she moved with her sister, Sierra and her husband Bennett to Greenwich, CT. Bennett is President of “The Commission” overseeing the Mafia Crime families, and it is not all settled in the crime world. Alesso has always had a thing die Serena and the feelings are mutual but she is not ready for any type of relationship or even intimacy, her ex brutalized her and she suffers from PTSD. But Alesso is a patient man, a loving man, and he gives her the space she needs to heal and even grow into her own person again. He was not only great with Serena, but with her children as well. Alesso has proven himself to become one of Bennett’s most trusted employees, and Bennett has plans for him. I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, a touch of mystery, thrilling suspense, twists and turns, heartfelt emotions and a wonderful slow burn romance. Siobhan Davis, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Siobhan Davis could not have chosen a better cast to bring her characters and story to life. Sarah Puckett and Tyler Darby are superbly talented narrators and versatile voice artist. They have a complete understanding of the characters there are portraying, give each a voice that fits the character’s persona perfectly, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Puckett nailed it as Serena, grasping her strength and her tormented side, Darby played Alesso perfectly too. Both were great at performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they captured all their character’s emotions and projected them into their performance and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances an already brilliant story to another level. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Amazing book about two people who find each other but maybe not at the right time. Serena is still struggling from an abusive marriage and finds it hard to trust men. I love how supportive and careful Alesso is with her, eventually gaining her trusf and her heart. The storyline is engaging, complex and always keeps you guessing. Loved the audio version as it brings everything to life.

Alesso is a made man but he is a man of every women's dream. He is attentive, caring, loving, and dependable. However, he is also fiercely protective of those he cares about and very dangerous to those who hurt the ones he loves. He loves Serena and will wait as long as it takes for her. Serena is so damaged and yet is able to push through her past and come out the other side. It's definitely not easy. This book is full of danger and deceit. I love the Mazzone crime family. Bennett tries to take care of everyone while being head of the commission. There is lots of danger in this story and action. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait for more from this world.

Sarah Puckett and Tyler Darby did a great job narrating. I enjoyed their voices and consistencies.

Scared to love is book 3 in the Mazzone Mafia series by Siobhan Davis. Although you can read this as a standalone, for better understanding of events and characters it is best read in order. This is Serena and Alesso's story. I absolutely loved being back in the Mazzone Mafia world.

I absolutely loved Serena & Alesso and was the perfect way to end the trilogy. No matter what book it is, Siobhan has always had a way to draw you into the story and put your heart through a roller coaster of emotions.

In this book we get the backstory and get the understanding of both their personalities, past experiences and the strength they and perseverance they needed to come out of everything. We get the true backbone to who they really were.

I originally read this book about 3 years ago but now had the opportunity to listen to the audio and listen to the story come to life.

Sarah Puckett and Tyler Darby performed the audiobook in Duet style narration. They bring depth to each character. Darby was the perfect Alesso and his side characters and accents were spot on. I could feel each emotion whether happy or anguish and it really came out in both narrator's performances.

The determination, the suspense, the brutality, the self doubts, the fears, loss , betrayal, forgiveness and the moments of love with friends and family made this story so exceptional.
Sarah Puckett And Tyler Darby narration is perfection. They bring depth to each character. I can feel each moment of emotion, anguish, anger, torment, throughout . Thank you for bringing this story to life.

This is the third book in the Mazzone Mafia series, a Dark Mafia Romance. Serena and Alessandro's slow burn and forbidden romance is emotional and captivating. Serena is such a fantastic character. She is a great mom, strong, and caring. Alessandro/Alesso is very handsome, protective and supportive. Serena is older than Alesso. They are perfect together. The world building is complex and enthralling. The storyline is filled with drama, danger, mystery, action, and twists and turns. There is a lot going on in this story! The supporting characters are great. I loved to see the characters from the first books. Sarah Puckett and Tyler Darby did an amazing job with the narration. I enjoyed it. #TheFlock

This is the 3rd book in the series, but the first book for me. I am anxious now to listen to the first two books! You are able to enjoy and follow this book even if you haven’t read/listened to the previous books.
A woman, Serena, places in a mafia marriage to a man as old as her father and extremely abusive. Inexperienced and with no one to turn to, she has two children she loves and sees no end to her torment. However, one night a kiss with a ‘younger made man’ and the death of her husband provides a chance at a better future...
The man she had kissed knows she is the woman for him, that she and her children are the family he has always wanted.
I adored the H and the h in this book. Things weren’t always smooth, but each one had obstacles and the strength of character and ability to love that pulled them through.
Strongly encourage if you like mafia thrones ..this is a series to download!
The narrators were perfect and the dual narration very well done.

I enjoyed the series especially the first two books. This one I liked the book the male narrator was hard for me to get into but I did not hate him. Serena endured alot and being a single mom had it rough her and Alesso were a slow burn and it took a while for their relationship to finally come together. IT was a long road with her dealing with her son dealing with the loss of his father. But as usual Siobhan pulled off a good story in the end.
