About this listen

A deadly gift. A terrible choice. Sometimes the price is too high....

After Del Larouche defeats the Gris-gris man, she struggles to find her place in the adult world. She just wants a normal life. But her horrible "gift" means her life will never be normal.

When six-year-old Clara goes missing from the St. Augustine Orphanage - the third child in two weeks - a frantic search begins and Del agrees to use her gift to help find the girl.

As the dark layers of New Orleans are peeled back, a terrible truth is exposed. What she finds lurking in the shadows of the old city is unimaginable. But it’s what the lurking shadows find…that is truly deadly.

Scars of Redemption is the chilling second book in The Spirit Hunter supernatural thriller series. If you like atmospheric writing, dangerous adventures, and horrifying twists, then you’ll love this heart-pounding tale.

this was an excellent sequel. I certainly can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Awesome continuance to the series

I love the depths that the author goes to that allows you to explore independently each character’s view. The story keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting to hear what happens next.

Masterpiece!

I’m absolutely delighted with this series! The story itself is truly enticing and the narrator brings all the characters to life in such a manner that you just can’t help but get drawn in! I hope the third installment is available very soon on Audible!!!

will try listening again later

The detail of this story was more intriguing than the 1st book, so I skipped over to book 2. I restarted the story more than 5 times as I realized that I had lost the thread of it. I made it 2/3 through and gave up.
Maybe it was a little too convoluted for me. I love stories that I can get immersed in. I felt that there was not enough imagery for me to visualize where she was and really feel the heroine's emotions. The narrator had great variety of voice for the different charactors but was a little flat and stuccato. I also had to slow the speed down to 90%. I will pick up this audio in a few years and perhaps will enjoy it. I have done that with a few other audios!
