About this listen

I never imagined I’d be a single dad, let alone traveling overseas for three months—my little girl and boy alongside me—to open my international agency. I needed a nanny.

The fifteen I fired in the last few months weren’t meeting my demands nor expectations. Until her.

Except it wasn’t that easy. Not only did I break her heart nine years ago, she was also my best friend—and client's—little sister.

From Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author M. Robinson comes a grumpy-single dad/nanny enemies-to-lovers romance.

Great story!!!

A beautiful second-chance love story. I loved the push and the pull between characters. They had so many circumstances that kept them from being together. The pain and heartache was palpable. I was swept away by their story. The narration was incredibly well done.

❤️ second chance ❤️ Caleb & Evie

This story (my first by M. Robinson) is told in the past & present concurrently. This kept the angsty (good!) tension going in 2 timelines (for awhile anyway) & I loved that! Their push/pull, pushing each other's buttons, and winding each other up was certainly entertaining, as was the huge twist near the end. Overall, a really enjoyable listen, and since I like second chance stories, I added the rest of the books in the series to my AZN wishlist!

The narrators were Connor Crais (my fav & the reason I bought the book) and Samantha Summers. The acting was great by both! They were also great performing as the kids, Ethan and Ariel (so darn cute)! One other BONUS -- I DID NOT get TIREd OF HEARING Mr. Crais (as Caleb) say the word "DARLIN' " in a sexy, slight drawl!! Oh my! Love that voice!

My heart feels full!

What a beautiful story. These two went through so much, not being able to be together, even though they were totally in love. These characters were so layered and I couldn’t help but feel their pain, fear and their love!! I loved this story, and I have adored these Second Chance Romances!! Bring on Tristan!!!

These narrators are AMAZING!! They were both great, but I especially enjoyed Samantha Summers…she was FANTASTIC!!

frustrating reason they couldn't be together

story is ok but the reason they can't be together is all for nothing when they get together. the reason they stayed apart for 8 years is pretty dumb. all that angst for the sake of angst...was annoying. narration was excellent.

Plot a little weak, but great narration

The reasoning for why the main characters couldn’t be together was weak and didn’t make sense. The main male character’s justifications for his actions and treatment of the female character were inadequate at best. I loved the angst and the narrator’s did a great job. There is also a nice plot twist. Overall an enjoyable read.

Ridiculous points of contention with 20 mins of actual plot

So this audiobook was a little bit hard to stomach. the performances were really great. But the relationship was so toxic and all the true points of contention in their relationship made absolutely no sense in the real world. There was really only about 15 minutes of actual plot near the end. Also as much as I love some dominance and rough play when it’s consensual in the bedroom the bulk of the book outside of the sex scenes was just two men who seem to be controlling and gaslighting and not allowing a woman her own autonomy the whole time that is distinctly not sexy.
