About this listen

From Million-Copy Best Seller Jasper T. Scott

Comes the stunning conclusion of the Ascension Wars series....

The Road to Salvation Is Paved in Blood

With a fragile peace established in the Enclave between humans and Chimeras, both species must learn to put aside their differences to ensure their continued survival. But racial tensions are simmering just beneath the surface, ready to explode.

Meanwhile, Clayton and Samara’s daughter, Dora, might be the answer that everyone is looking for: her immunity to both strains of the Chimeran virus could soon lead to a cure, making it possible to establish new settlements beyond the Enclave.

Mysteriously, the Kyra’s reinforcements never arrived to blockade and quarantine Earth. Clayton worries that it’s because the Kyra are losing the war to the Chrona. He’s no friend of either side, but the Kyra might actually be the lesser evil. He wants to take the Enclave’s stolen transport beyond Earth to learn what’s going on. Yet, when Clayton learns of a sinister plot within the Enclave that directly threatens his family, he’s forced to execute his plans early.

With old enemies lurking in the shadows, nothing goes as planned, and little does Clayton know, the revelations waiting beyond Earth are far more shocking than he ever could have imagined....

What a ride! Second Envounter

You won’t really understand the title until the very end that’s like a cherry on top! This is the fourth installment of the Ascension series it’s full of action, suspense, believable interpersonal encounters among deep, multidimensional characters. As with all Jasper Scott’s work the locales are vividly described; the story line is tight not in the least confusing still full of surprises!
The ending is very satisfying but there’s still room for more adventures in this universe

The performance was superb! I also read the book but the performance really added a lot to my enjoyment.

I can’t recommend Jasper Scott’s writing too much he is truly a master of the genre!

Excellent Finale To An Awesome Series

I thoroughly enjoyed this masterfully written and well-plotted 4 book series by Jasper T. Scott. This book captured my imagination, held my interest, kept me in suspense and tore at my heart strings. This gripping book concluded the series with ample action, plot twists and turns, and tied up the overall story in an unexpected and satisfying ending. Ben Jaeger-Thomas did an impressive performance adding depth and emotion to the well-fleshed characters. I was provided a free review copy of this audio book and am voluntarily leaving this review.

Great story, but....

the ending needs more. I really live Scott's stories and this series is no different. However, this ending left some to be desired. I'm torn between being angry and intrigued.

Excellent Wrap Up

Jasper T Scott does it again!
This has been a fun series, well executed, and well constructed. There is, however, an occasional glitch or two in the time line, but you won't notice it unless you're really in tune to details. It also does not distract from the story.

The characters are likeable, and they keep their characteristics throughout. They all go through much personal growth which adds to the background and depth of the stories.

Narration is superb and adds a richness and depth to the books. Way to go Ben Jaegger-Thomas.

Awesome series and narration..

This was a really good series, and except for all those you learned to care about were killed, it had a great ending. Clayton, Keera and Lori took their few stragglers from one end of the galaxy to the other, only to be returned to where they'd started, with a few differences, of course.

No romance and the F-bomb was used 18 times.

As for the narration: Ben Jaeger-Thomas was incredible through the entire series. I would definitely listen to him again.

Entertaining even if a bit predictable.

Narrator does a great job distinguishing the characters. There are a few repetitive phases the author uses that get bit old.
